Mani Monday: OPI I Brake for Manicures

Hi guys! Today’s Mani Monday is completely inspired by my urge to have something vampy on my nails. It’s like for every few bright or pastel manicures I do, I have to then do something dark. Anyways, today I decided to use OPI I Brake for Manicures from the Fall 2011 Touring America Collection. I’ve had this shade since it initially launched and have worn it a few times. What I love about it is that it has a grey quality to it which makes it a bit more unique than your typical dark plum shade.

Products Used:

OPI Chip Skip
OPI Nail Envy Original (1 coat)
OPI I Brake for Manicures (2 coats)
Cult Nails Wicked Fast Top Coat (1 coat)

Like most OPI cream polishes, OPI I Brake for Manicures applies evenly and smoothly. It doesn’t pool in the cuticles so it makes it quite easy to get a fairly clean application. I usually get about a week or slightly less with OPI cream shades.

I’m still debating which top coat I should buy as I ran out of my HK Girl by Glisten & Glow so I’ve been using my back up bottle of Cult Nails Wicket Fast (sadly it was discontinued when the whole brand shut down). I’d love to know what your suggestions are for top coats.. my two main priorities are that it be fast drying and help protect my manicure as long as possible.

What do you have on your nails? Let me know in the comments down below!

xoxo,

Robyn
