Birthday Haul!!!

P1010554

Hi guys! Today I turn the big 2-6 and I am a little amazed that another year has gone by already. It feels like just yesterday I was in Saint Luca on my honeymoon celebrating my 25th birthday a year ago on this very day. 25 was a great year… my husband and I added Dex to our family, we started going to camp more, and I started the blog! My parents spoiled me this year with a Sephora.ca shopping spree so I thought I would share with you the goodies that I scored! I ordered them ahead of time so that everything would be here on time. I’ll be rocking some of these later tonight for my birthday celebrations.

Okay, let’s get into the fun stuff!

Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette

I’ve been dying for this palette ever since images of it started to appear online. After how much I loved the Vice 3 Palette last year, I knew I needed this one in my life too. These palettes are big (therefore not travel friendly), but there is so much variety and the shadows are high quality. This palette has a lot of purple in it which which makes me happy! The shades I’m most excited to try are Pandemonium, Underhand, Flame, and C-Note.

Becca Cosmetics Champagne Glow Palette

This was another one that I instantly knew I needed. I was one of the few people who didn’t purchase Jaclyn Hill’s original Becca collaboration Champagne Pop when it was released in July. I couldn’t see myself needing a full size of it. This palette appealed to me because I can still own and try Champagne Pop, but I also get two other gorgeous shades to try and mix with.

Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Palette

This was a staple that I knew I had to add to my collection. It is no secret that Kat Von D makes wonderfully pigmented and blendable shadows. This all-matte palette will be such an asset to so many looks. I actually used this palette to do my Black Widow look last week and it was perfect for the job! I’m excited to play with every shade of this beautiful looking palette.

MAKE UP FOREVER Artist Palette, Volume 2

P1010562 P1010559

I actually originally wanted the limited edition 15 shade palette but it sold out a few hours before I placed my orders (what rotten luck!!) so I got this one instead. It had been on my Sephora loves-list for awhile so it isn’t a complete loss! I haven’t tried MAKE UP FOREVER’s shadows so that was really the ultimate goal anyways. Since I already have quite a few neutral palettes, I went for something colourful! I’m really excited to try out the three shades on the right side of the palette!

Anastasia of Beverly Hills Self-Made Palette

P1010573 P1010576

This is another one that I purchased because I hadn’t tried shadows from this company before. I love their contour kit so I thought shadows seemed like the next thing to try. I do want to try their brow products but I think that is something I ned to actually visit a Sephora store for. Anyways, this palette looks beautiful and I have heard lots of great things about it! I’m really excited for the shades Pink Champagne and Isla (it looks so unique and I think it will compliment my green eyes)!

Okay so, yes, I was definitely spoiled this year. A huuuuuuuuuuge thank you to my mom, dad and brother for these wonderful goodies. I’m so grateful to have you all in my life!

I will be doing looks with these products and will be swatching them in upcoming posts throughout the month. If you have any requests for which ones to do first, please let me know in the comments down below!

What is the best birthday present you have ever received? Let me know in the comments down below!
