November Favourites

Hi guys! Yet another month has come to an end and it is time to take a look at what my favourites for the month were! I’m really enjoying these favourites posts as it gives me a chance to reflect back to the past month and look at what I wore the most.

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Glow Palette

P1010807.jpg

This was my first Becca purchase and I am really pleased with it! The product is pigmented, blendable and gives my skin a gorgeous glow! I wear Pearl and Champagne Pop the most, but I have also used Blushed Copper lightly dusted over my blush to give it some extra glow. I was very skeptical about Champagne Pop because of my fair skin (despite all of the “universal highlight” claims) but it actually is flattering. I think Pearl is a bit more flattering on me though. I haven’t done an individual post about this item yet so I’ve also included some swatches!

L to R: Pearl, Champagne Pop and Blushed Copper

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer & Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder

This is  now my dream team when it comes to my base makeup. They are both definitely worth the hype. I find that a lot of concealer leans on the warm toned side and ends up being too dark for my skin. However the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Light Neutral does the trick! It is just amazing, it has great coverage but blends in to look natural. The Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder sets my concealer and my foundation which ensures a matte (oil-free) face for the day! It also helps by creating a powder base for my contour, highlight and blush blend into.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Ayesha

The shade and the formula of this product is fantastic! It is so unique. While I appreciate that the colour is a not something that everyone would be comfortable wearing, I do love it. It dries down quickly to a matte finish that is long-lasting and doesn’t feel too drying. I can’t wait to try more from this line!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Self-Made Palette

P1010576

I freaking love this palette. This is my first and only Anastasia eyeshadow palette and I am so impressed. I’ve worn it so much since I got it. I love it because it can be worn both casually and dramatically. There is a little something for everyone and it is so pigmented. Love, love, love! If you’re interested in swatches, I posted some and a look using the palette here!

And now for something a little different… Here are a couple music favourites I’ve had this past month!

Coleman Hell’s Self Titled EP

If you haven’t heard of Coleman Hell, you need to check out his music. I might be a little tiny bit biased because he’s from Thunder Bay and we had several classes in high school together, but that aside, he is so talented. This has been what I’ve been listening to non-stop this past month. My favourite song on the EP is “Take Me Up”. I’m so proud of how far he has come!

Ellie Goulding “On My Mind”

I love this song. I’ve been listening to it non-stop lately too. It’s just so catchy and she has such a beautiful voice. I need to listen to the rest of her new album!

Well, I think that is everything! What were your favourites this month? Let me know in the comments down below!

xoxo,

Robyn

  1. I purchased the full size of Champagne Pop back in the summer and while I think its beautiful, I was so disappointed in its lasting power. 😦 It disappeared after a few hours of wear. Not sure if its specific to Champagne Pop or the Shimmering Skin Perfectors in general. That palette looks really pretty though!
Wow that Anastasia palette is gorgeous. I can see why you love it!

    • Aw that’s disappointing! I haven’t really noticed the highlights disappearing on me, Pearl seems to last pretty well, that’s the one I wear the most! I haven’t tried the other shimmering skin perfectors (apparently the palette is more powdery than the normal ones) but I’m tempted!
