Make Up Forever Artist Palette, Volume 2

P1010559

Hi guys! Today I wanted to share with you a look, review and swatches using the Make Up Forever Artist Palette, Volume 2! This is the last palette from my Birthday Haul that I need to swatch! I did a soft, shimmery look using this palette which is strange considering how colourful it is, but I was going for a coffee date with a friend the day I wore this so I didn’t want to go over the top. I will definitely play with the more colourful shades and do a post using them in the future!

This palette features lots of bright shimmery shades, so my only complaint would be that there are not any matte shades so you need to pair it with another palette (as I did above) to achieve a complete look. This is fine, it’s fun to mix and match palettes, but if you are looking for a one-stop-shop, this isn’t it. The green shade in the palette is the most interesting. The first time I used it I was thrown off. It is green in the pan but when you put it on it looks like a dark purple. It took me awhile to figure out it seems like a duo-chrome. It looks more purple (most of the time) outside of the pan. Not all of the shades are as pigmented as I would have liked, but I do think it is a good palette overall. I think it is mostly the pink and the blue that I found a bit disappointing when I swatched them, but perhaps it is better that they are a bit on the sheer side.
