Hi guys! I’ve got another YouTube video for you today! I posted briefly about receiving the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette in my Christmas Hauliday Post so today I’m going to put it to use and do a Gwen Stefani inspired look. This is my first voiceover video, I worked very hard on it so I hope you enjoy it!
Products Used:
Foundation: L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation in Classic Ivory
Concealer: Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Fair Neutral
Powder: Maybelline FitMe Matte & Poreless Translucent Powder
Blush: NARS Orgasm
Contour: Anastasia Beverly Hills Fawn
Highlight: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Ethereal Light (all over cheek area) and Too Faced Candlelight Glow Powder Duo (both shades mixed together on cheekbones, brow bone and cupid’s bow).
Eyes: Urban Decay Primer Potion (original). Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette – Skimp (transition/crease), Anaheim (crease and outer half of lid and under eye), Zone (outer half of crease) and Pop (all over lid and inner two-thirds of outer eye). Too Faced Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner in Perfect Black (eye lid and waterline). Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant (lashes).
Brows: L’Oreal Brow Stylist Plumper in Light to Medium
Lips: Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in 69
Gwen Stefani seems to always be sporting winged eye liner but I’m honestly pretty hopeless at that most of the time. I’m definitely not ready to attempt to do it while filming that’s for sure! However I did make sure I added in her signature red lip!
My overall thoughts on the palette is that it is great for someone starting a makeup collection as it is mostly neutral shades with a few pops of colour. It also contains both shimmery shades and mattes so you have everything you need for a complete eye look. If you own the Urban Decay Naked Palettes you may not need this. However, I own them and I’m still glad that this is part of my collection. The quality of the shadows is the excellent quality that we have come to know from previous Urban Decay palettes. The only shade that didn’t want to cooperate is the pink one which is called Harajuku.
I do plan on doing more “get ready with me” type videos without the voiceover, however at the moment I have to film in the dining room and with loud dogs it’s easier to do it this way for now. A special thank you to my husband and his never-ending patience for stepping in as both my lighting man and my camera guy! 🙂
I hope you enjoyed the video!
xoxo,
Robyn

I love this look! I never shadow the under part of my eye…I think I’m going to start after watching this! 🙂

Aw thank you! I love how much using shadow under the eye can change a look. You can match your eyeliner and give it a diffused effect, you can use a pop of a different colour, the possibilities are endless 🙂
