Hi guys! It has been a very cold week here. The temperature has frequently dipped below minus thirty degrees celsius with the wind chill. Brrrr!

Dex staying warm snuggled in a blanket!

The week itself was uneventful (what else is new?) but on Friday my husband and I went over to one of our best friend’s houses for her birthday celebration. It was a lot of fun! It was nice to end the week with some wine.

On Saturday my husband and I started planning some home improvement projects. We bought a house that needed a lot of work about six years ago and we have been very slowly plugging away at it over the years. We had been on a bit of a hiatus but we are trying to get back into it.

So much paint!

Today we actually made the trip to Home Depot and bought what felt like the entire paint department! Our new plan is to get a few smaller areas paint-ready and then prime everything at once and then paint. Hopefully this plan works! I’m hoping to be able to start priming by the middle of this week… Fingers crossed!
