Hi guys! I was watching a makeup tutorial on Makeup by Andriana’s YouTube Channel the other night when I was so inspired by her look I wanted to take a stab at it myself. When I went to do the look I went by memory and let my own eyes pick the colours. I was so happy with how the look turned out I had to share it here on the blog. This got me inspired to start a new series on the blog called “Inspired Looks” this is how I will label looks where the inspiration came from another blogger, a YouTuber, an instagrammer, etc. And of course, I will link the original content because it was so great that I think you should check it out for yourself!
Primer: Nivea After-Shave Balm for Sensitive Skin
Foundation: L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation in Classic Ivory
Concealer: Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Fair Neutral
Powder: Maybelline FitMe Matte & Poreless Translucent Powder
Blush: Too Faced Love Flush Blush in How Deep is Your Love?
Contour: Anastasia Beverly Hills Fawn
Highlight: theBalm’s Mary-Lou Manizer
Eyes: Urban Decay Primer Potion (original). NYX Glam Shadow Stick in Diamond (all over lid). Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette – Skimp (transition), Zone (crease), Harajuku (all over lid), Serious (blended into outer v) and 1987 (under eye). L’Oreal Voluminous Smouldering Eyeliner in Black (waterline). Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant (lashes).
Brows: L’Oreal Brow Artist Shaper in Blonde and L’Oreal Brow Stylist Plumper in Light to Medium
Lips: Lord & Berry Twistick in Must-Have
Please check out the original video where I got the idea and drew inspiration here! I decided to add some darker shadow into the edge rather than do the winged liner to add a bit of drama but keep it wearable for work.
I want to do a full post on the Nivea After Shave Balm for Sensitive Skin that I used to prime my face, but can we take a second and appreciate that these photos were taken on my lunch break? After I wore this makeup for four hours! This alone breaks two of my blogging rules… I never take photos of a look mid-week (unless I’m off work) and I always take my photos with freshly applied makeup! I was originally undecided about this as a primer, but I’ll get into that more when I do my full post on it.
What was the last look you drew inspiration from? Let me know in the comments down below!
