Hi guys! Another week has come and gone again! It was mostly another uneventful week. My husband and I have been playing through a video game together so it has really distracted us from everything else.

This weekend has been a bit busier though. On Saturday I went to get my hair done so I chopped quite a bit of it off and decided to go for a more chocolatey-brown colour. I really loved the red but I’ve had red hair for about a year now so it was time for a change.

After that I went shopping with my mom which was a lot of fun. It is nice to spend quality time together and catch up.

After shopping I went out with some friends to a shag. Basically it is a wedding social that couples put on to raise money for their wedding. I think it is very much a Thunder Bay thing. Anyone can attend the event, more often than not you don’t know the couple who is getting married. There is always great prizes, inexpensive drinks and music.

Today I went out shopping again but this time with my husband. I picked up a few new outfits and a new pair of boots so it was a successful outing. Everything was on sale too!

Our lovely meal from the Sovereign Room: 1. Calamari 2. Baked Gnocchi 3. Duo of Duck 4. Peanut Butter Shake and Brownie “Fries”

This evening we went out for a Valentine’s Day dinner. We actually don’t normally go out for dinner on Valentine’s Day itself. We usually go the day before or after to avoid the pre-fixed menu. However, this year the menu at the Sovereign Room looked way too good to pass up. I’m glad we went because it was delicious! I made an early reservation so that we have the rest of the evening to relax and enjoy some wine at home.
