Hi guys! I recently found out that MAC has reduced the price of their Pro Palette Refill Eyeshadow Pans from $12 to $8 which I thought was pretty great. I like buying the refill pans to put into my Z-Palette, rather than buying the shadows in the plastic casing for $19. They also have a promotion going on until Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 11:59 pm for free express shipping (no minimum) if you use the code “MACEXP” at the checkout. Given both of these factors I decided to pick up a few shades that I had been eyeing up!

Top Row (L to R): Saddle, Cranberry, Sketch. Bottom Row (L to R): Embark, Bottle Green and Greensmoke

L to R: Saddle, Embark, Cranberry, Sketch, Green Bottle and Greensmoke
I decided to go for colours I either had been eying up because I saw them so much on YouTube, or ones that would be unique to my collection (the redish shades and the greens). So far I’m happy with how they swatch and I can’t wait to start playing with them to create some eye looks!
What are your favourite MAC eyeshadows (that are still available)? Let me know in the comments down below!

Robyn

Nothing makes me happier than my MAC palette! Love your picks. My top are Sumptuous Olive, Woodwinked and Amber Lights. I love the look of Saddle though 🙂

I don’t a single shade you chose – wow! I heard about the drop in price too and I’m REALLY tempted to make an order as well. I heard they’re discontinuing a few basic shades which is so annoying.

From the discontinuing list, I want Bamboo and Mystery.
My top MAC eye shadows are here:

Get Satin Taupe if you don’t already own that! And Patina! Get them before they’re discontinued too – ugh.

i ordered a bunch too – but they don’t stick in the z palette! do you have to take the backing off to get them to stick?

I found that they do stick, but not really that well because of the magnet on the back of them. They stick well enough to not fall out but they slide around. I found that surrounding them with eyeshadows that stick better to the z palette helps them stay in place! But, ideally I would like to pry the magnet off the backs of them one of these days!

that’s what I ended up doing the other day – I still had to use the round magnetic stickers that came with the z-palette because the pans themselves don’t stick – but if you grab a couple of those tag sale price tag stickers and write the names on the back, at least you know what you’re using! I was able to peel the MAC sticker off the magnet but it was a pain in the ass and I ruined a few of them.
