Snapshot Sunday + Weekly Post Recap

Hi guys! Another week down and it feel like March is almost over. Didn’t it just begin? It it just me or has 2016 been going even faster than normal? I haven’t even really been that busy….

1. Yummy homemade nachos that my husband and I made this week 2. Look at all that snow!! 3. My dinner from ExCuria, it was delicious! 4. Enjoying the beautiful view of the Sleeping Giant

Okay so this week… I started off the week with 2 additional dogs as my family had gone to the states so I was on dog-sitting duty. It’s always fun to watch their two dogs interact with my two.

I was offered a developmental assignment at work and it was finally announced so now everyone knows so I can talk about it. I’m really excited about it! It is a really big step forward for me so I’m looking forward to it and am ready for the challenge. That starts after the Easter weekend!

On Wednesday I went for dinner at my parent’s house to celebrate my dad’s birthday and to see my sister who was in town from British Columbia. It was a very nice evening and my mom’s lasagna, as always, was delicious! We also got hit with tons of snow after it all melted away the previous Saturday.

On Thursday, my husband and I took my sister out for dinner at the Caribou! It was a delicious meal as always and I left soooo full. Their crab cakes are my favourite thing in the world, aside from my family and friends of course 😉 But seriously, if you live in Thunder Bay and you like crab cakes… try them! You won’t regret it.

On Friday I had the day off work so I went with my sister to visit our cousin and her baby boy. It was a lovely afternoon of catching up and watching him play. I hadn’t seen him since New Year’s Day and it’s so crazy how much he has changed since then!

Later on that day, my husband and I went out for dinner to ExCuria as my husband found out that he officially has his accounting designation! I am so proud of him, he has worked so hard so it was definitely a good reason to celebrate.

On Saturday I had to say goodbye to my sister, which is always hard. But, I will be seeing her later on in the summer so at least I know I will see her again this year. It’s never fun to say goodbye though, but we did get to visit for a bit before she had to leave.

Later on I went shopping with my mom! I picked up a few books on sale and a few items from Bath & Body Works. We scored some great deals and had a great afternoon together. I’m so glad we have been spending more time together lately 🙂

Today I ran some errands with my husband, but we stopped to have Dairy Queen Blizzards at the Marina and took in the beautiful sights. I think I take for granted how beautiful the Sleeping Giant really is. I work really close to the lake but I never take the time to stop and admire it.

I’ll probably spend the rest of the evening doing laundry, catching up on some reading and just relaxing before another work week begins. I’m really glad it is another short one though.

Here is a recap of this week’s posts if you missed any…
