Love for Lipstick: Round Two Haul

Too Faced Melted Matte Bite Amuse Bouche Kat Von D.jpg

Hi guys! I’m back with another Love for Lipstick Haul since I had the very rare opportunity to go to a Sephora store last week! After a very long week attending to family matters in British Columbia, I decided to treat myself to a few lipsticks.

Let’s take a closer look at what I picked up!

  3. Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick: Lady Balls
  4. Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick: Double Dare

I have heard so many great things about the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipsticks so I had to pick up two. These were the two colours that jumped out to me, I thought something bright would be fun for summer and then I always love a purple lipstick. The Too Faced Melted Matte Lipsticks look great too as I really enjoy the longevity of a liquid lipstick. I chose Lady Balls because I don’t have a red yet and who could pass up a name like that? Then finally, I picked up another Kat Von D Everlasting Lipstick because they are such a great formula. I haven’t actually done a full review of one on the blog so I will be sure to do that. You can look forward to reviews on all of these in the upcoming month or so! I’ll also come back and link them to this post as I do them.

Have you picked up any great lipsticks lately? Let me know in the comments down below!

xoxo,

Robyn

  1. Lol Lady Balls…that’s awesome. Love the packaging of the Too Faced Melted Matte lipstick…but what else is new, Too Faced always hits it out of the park. I’ve never tried the KVD Everlasting Lipsticks – are they pretty drying? I can’t do anything that’s too matte because my lips are so naturally dry all.the.time.

You picked some great shades BTW! 🙂

    • Yeah I love the packaging for the Too Faced Melted Mattes too, I love how it isn’t round so it’s easier to photograph! haha… The things you don’t realize you want in packaging until you start blogging… I don’t find the KVD Everlasting Lipsticks too drying, but I wear a lot of really matte lipsticks so I don’t think my lips are that dry. I find they do retain a bit of a tackiness to them though compared to others. I also find using a lip balm beforehand and blotting it off before I apply it helps a lot!

      • Oh totally agree- round packaging is such a pita to photograph! I can never get the label to line up on the right side. So frustrating!

I’ll have to look into the KVD lipsticks a little more – thanks for the info!

  2. Has Too Faced always had risque colour names like that?! Lady Ball! 😆
How do you find the BITE Amuse Bouche formula compared to the old Luminous Creme? I’ve been interested in trying them.

    • Haha, I don’t think I’ve noticed any other risque names from Too Faced. The rest of the liquid lipsticks had less bold names. I actually don’t have any of the old Bite Beauty Luminous Creme lipsticks so I wouldn’t be able to compare them. I haven’t worn these yet, but I am going to do a full review on the formula/wear-time/etc once I try them out! I did wear Lady Balls from Too Faced today though and I’m pretty happy with it! 🙂 I just had to wear that one first…. I was hoping someone would ask me what colour I was wearing on my lips, but sadly no one did… haha! But, I’m the only make-up crazy person at work…
