Love for Lipstick: Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche

Hi guys! I’m back with another post in my Love for Lipstick Series! In my last haul I talked about the two shades from the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche line that I had picked up. I hadn’t tried this line and it’s fairly new so I had to pick up two because they both looked so pretty!

So let’s start off by talking about the application. These lipsticks feel very creamy and almost a bit thick to apply but don’t feel heavy once on. They are richly pigmented and only require one strategic swipe to get beautiful lips. They set down to a demi-matte/satin finish. So, it lasts all-day (but does fade as you go) and also feels super comfortable. This hydrating formula was made with nutrients, vitamins and omega-oils to help quench your lips and keep them looking healthy.

Pickled Ginger: 1. Freshly applied at 8 am; 2. Pre-lunch check-in at 12 pm; 3. Post-lunch check-in at 12:45 pm; 4. End of the work-day check-in at 5 pm

Given that I’m usually a matte-girl (to pro-long wear-time as much as possible) I was very pleased with the wear-time these provided. They did fade but they left behind a stain so it still looked like I was wearing a little something on the lips. It survived my usual snacking, drinking water and tea as I usually do throughout the work day. It wore evenly so I wasn’t left with a bald patch in the centre of my lips.

Eggplant: 1. Freshly applied at 8 am; 2. Post-lunch and final check-in at 12:45 pm

One thing to note is that both shades did wear very similarly, the only difference seemed to be that I ate a messy sandwich the day that I wore Eggplant so it looks like it wore worse, but in actually didn’t. Also, I was so excited about said sandwich that I forgot to take a picture beforehand (side note: The Chicken Caesar BLT from Sweet North is to die for). Since the sandwich did some damage to the lipstick’s wear-time I had to re-apply so I only have the two photos as opposed to Pickled Ginger which I have a full day of wear-time. Given there is still a fair amount of Eggplant left on my lips after that sandwich and the fact that it still looks even is a testament to the quality of this product.

Overall, I would say that I really enjoyed these lipsticks! I wasn’t sure if I would since I prefer mattes and love the Matte Crème Lip Crayons that Bite Beauty makes so I wasn’t sure how it would compare.  Although I do still love the Matte Crème Lip Crayons, I would definitely consider purchasing more of these for when I don’t feel like a full-on matte lip.
