Hi guys! I was super bummed that I didn’t attend Generation Beauty in Toronto last month but when I saw Bratty B was doing a giveaway on her blog I knew I had to enter! I’d never won a giveaway before so I entered and then forgot about it. That was until she emailed me to let me know that I won one of the prizes! I thought it would be fun to go over what was included in this super generous prize as if it was a haul!

Essence | How to Make Nude Eyes

This is a beautiful nude palette from Essence, which is a super inexpensive brand that I have been loving lately. The shades all swatched really nicely so I’m excited to play with it more and create some looks with it!

Essence | How to Make Bright Eyes

Another stunning palette from Essence! This one features pink-toned shades and again, swatched beautifully. The only one that swatched a little strangely was “Natural Beauty”… it was super soft and almost looked like it balled up or like fluff. I blended it out with my finger and it worked just fine! Both of these palettes come with little cards with ideas on how to use the shadows together which is a nice touch!

OGX | Bamboo Fiber-Full Thickening Fiber Cream

This is a pumping cream fortified with bamboo fibres to make your hair appear voluminous. I’m excited to try this out!

OGX | Bamboo Fiber-Full Shampoo & Conditioner

This is from the same line as the thickening cream and is meant to ideally be used in conjunction with it. I look forward to trying this out as well!

Physician’s Formula | #InstaReady Super BB Bronzer

This is a bronzer that appears to lean a little bit on the warm side, but I think I will be able to work with it! It swatches so smoothly and appears to be very blendable. I’m going to test this out to see if it works with my skin tone. I think if I use a light hand it will just had a nice glow!

NYX | Color Mascara in Purple

If you frequent my blog then you should know that I love all things purple! With that said, I’m super excited to try this mascara! I wear a lot of purple on my eyes because I like the way it makes my green eyes pop, so I’m looking forward to using this.

NYX | Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator in Pure Gold

This liquid illuminator can be used either as a foundation base or as a highlighter. I’m not sure how this gold shade will work with my fair skin, but I’m going to give it a shot! I may just use a tiny bit under my foundation to add a bit of glow. If it doesn’t work for me then I’ll pass it on to a friend who would find a better use for it.

Cake Beauty | Delectable Everything Balm

This is an interesting product. It is a nourishing balm that can be used wherever needed from your head to your toes, including your lips! It has a nice sweet scent to it and a glossy sheen. I think this would be great for keeping in my purse!

Evelyn Iona Cosmetics | Lip Gloss in Val

I don’t normally wear lip glosses but this one is beautiful enough to convert me! This is a natural and organic lip gloss that has an ingredient deck good enough to eat! And the shade… just perfection! It’s a pinky nude that reminds me of a lip gloss that I loved when I was in high school. I can’t wait to wear this! For some reason I forgot to photograph this and swatch it, but you can find it here! I’ll include it in an upcoming look so that you can see it in action!

The prize also came in a nice NYX Cosmetics makeup bag which will definitely come in handy. She also included those adorable and delicious looking lollipops! I’m so impressed with this amazing prize and I can’t wait to use the goodies I received. A huge thank you to Amy over at Bratty B for putting on this amazing giveaway! If you haven’t checked out her blog before, I highly recommend it. I stumbled upon it as we are in the same Canadian Beauty Bloggers group and I’ve been enjoying reading it!
