Glamorous in Gold!

Glamorous-in-Gold.jpgHi guys! Gold is usually out of my comfort zone because I tend to prefer either browny-warm shades, or cooler toned shades. I don’t generally wear a lot of gold because of the yellow undertones and how they look with my fair skin. However there are a few gold items in my collection, and since Gold is the Canadian Beauty Bloggers Theme for June, I thought I would do a gold themed look with a video tutorial!

Products Used:

Primer: Nivea Post Shave Balm in Sensitive
Foundation: L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation in Classic Ivory
Concealer: Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Fair Neutral
Powder: Maybelline Matte + Poreless Translucent Powder
Blush: Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette – Rosé Spritz
Contour: Anastasia Beverly Hills Fawn
Highlight:Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette – Prosecco Pop
Eyes: Urban Decay Primer Potion (original). Violet Voss x Laura Lee Eye Shadow Palette – Basic, Priss Pot, Mama Bird, Britches, Wisker, Hissy Fit, Fleeky and Bubs (details in video). Essence Get BIG Lashes Mascara (lashes)
Brows: L’Oreal Brow Artist Shaper in Blonde and L’Oreal Brow Stylist Plumper in Light to Medium
Lips: Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Native

I was actually really happy with how this look turned out. It’s amazing how you can think your eye shadow looks like a mess as you are doing it and then a little more blending and some mascara, and it looks put together! I really feel like mascara pulls together an eye look!

What is your favourite gold makeup item to wear? Let me know in the comments down below! Also, be sure to check out the rest of the Canadian Beauty Blogger‘s take on June’s Gold theme!

xoxo,

Robyn

    • For me I need to stay away from anything yellow toned because it clashes on me but it seems warm golds are okay! I enjoyed this look a lot but I think the warm transition shades helped! And thank you! I’ve been loving that lipstick lately! It seems universal to use with most of my makeup looks!
