Top 3 Eye Shadow Palettes

Hi guys! It’s no secret that I’m an eye shadow palette junkie. I don’t know what it is but there is something so satisfying about getting a new palette to play with. I find them very inspiring as you can do so many looks with one single palette, particularly the larger ones. So, with that in mind, I thought I would go over the my top three palettes, or better yet, the three that I reach for the most. This probably does change throughout the year so this is based on current habits. I’ve talked about all these palettes before in previous posts where I swatched them so I’ve included those swatches to this post as well!

I really love wearing warm shades on the eyes so this palette really delivers. The shadows are pigmented and buttery smooth so that they blend right in. I found that once I had better makeup brushes, this palette became a breeze to apply and a staple in my collection. I’m still quite sad that it has been discontinued so I’ll treasure this even more. My favourite look with this palette can be found here! The shade Wrath is definitely my favourite in the palette, it is just so warm and beautiful!

When I’m not sure what I want to use for eye shadow, this is the palette that I use. My go-to look is Tease in the crease, with Bootycall all over the lid and Busted blended into the outer v! I usually also smudge a little bit of Busted under my eye as well. Never fails and looks good with pretty much anything! This is one of my first posts on the blog so it’s a bit rusty but you can find my go-to look with this palette here!

This palette is definitely a favourite. The eye shadows are just a joy to apply to the eyes. It has a good balance of different shades as well so you can achieve so many different looks with it. Again, this is another palette that has been discontinued, but I’ve heard great things about the Modern Renaissance Palette which I plan on picking up at some point this summer. Hot & Cold is my favourite shade in the Self-Mate Palette, hands down. However, I also really loved the way this look that I did using it turned out as well!

I sometimes toy with the idea of doing an eye shadow palette collection post or video, but I feel like that would be a long one! Maybe I’ll break it up into categories and post them periodically… We’ll see! I know it’s a guilty pleasure of mine to watch/read about other people’s makeup collections!

What are some of your favourite eye shadow palettes? Let me know in the comments down below!

Robyn

  1. I totally think you should do an eyeshadow collection post/video – would love to see all the palettes you own!

I think my favourite palette has to be the Buxom palette I created; I just love the shades and the formula of the shadows. I totally want to make another one at some point.

    Great post!

    • Okay! I think I’ll start thinking of how I want to organize a palette collection post or video! I’ll probably do a few so they aren’t super long lol I’m so intrigued by those Buxom palettes… I’m going to a Sephora in early August so I’m going to check those out 🙂 I feel like I would want to swatch them to pick which shades I would want.

  2. Totally do an eye palette collection. I did that recently on my blog.

Some of my fave palettes are the Sedona Lace 35 Color Intensely Warm palette (it’s the exact same as the Morphe 35O), KVD Shade & Light Eye & the Lorac Mega Pro 2.
