Hi guys! Another Ipsy Glam Bag has arrived and it’s time to go over what I received this month! July’s bag was delayed due to the potential Canada Post Labour Dispute but it did finally arrive last week. This month’s bag’s theme is Hot Summer Nights.
Glam Bag Contents:
Too Faced | HangoverRX Replenishing Face Primer
I love receiving items from a brand that I’m already in love with! Particularly when it is a product that I haven’t tried yet. I’ve heard so much about the HangoverRX primer but haven’t taken the plunge to buy it. This is partially due to the fact that it’s marketed to people with dry skin (I’m oily) and also the fact that I’m in love with using Nivea Post Shave Balm as a primer. I am looking forward to trying this though… it claims your skin will have the appearance of a full night’s rest and I know my skin could use that! I’ll keep you posted on how this works out!
Thrive Cosmetics | Infinity Waterproof Eyeliner
This is another item that I’m really excited to try! This is an eyeliner that claims to be high-pigmented and have 24-hour staying power. I would never, ever wear an eyeliner for 24 hours but, I am curious to see if it will indeed last a full day… particularly, in my waterline. I was even more excited because I thought the eyeliner would be the same colour as the packaging (which as you know, I’ve been eyeing up a MUFE eyeliner in a similar colour) but alas, it is black. But, I use black eyeliner so, it’s still useful. This product swatched really nicely so I’m optimistic on it’s performance.
theBalm | Meet Matt(e) Trimony – Matt Moskowitz
This is a matte plum eye shadow and it’s absolutely stunning. Like most mattes it doesn’t swatch well, but I find those mattes are usually the easiest to blend. This shadow looks like it would be great for blending into the crease and then applying all over the eye. Can’t wait to use it for a look!

L to R: Thrive Cosmetics Eyeliner and Matt Moskowitz
Briogeo | Curl Charisma
This is a light hold gel that fights frizz and that will shape and define curl withough any sticky or crunchines. I have curly/wavy hair so I’m looking forward to trying this. This product can be used either by using a diffuser to dry your hair or by letting your hair air dry. I’m all about the air drying so that makes this even more appealing to me.
Skyn Iceland | The Antidote Cooling Daily Lotion
This lotion has a cooling effect to help sooth your skin and calm inflammation. Those two effects, along with hydration and detoxification come from Icelandic Kelp. This product also has cloudberry and cranberry seed to further boost hydration. This product also has a minty scent which I must say, I find unusual for a face lotion, or maybe that’s just me? I don’t mind the scent though. I am quite curious about this product. It seems like more of a bed-time lotion though. I’m curious to see if there actually is a cooling sensation, seems like a great product for this hot summer we’re having if that is the case!
So, that is my July Ipsy Glam Bag! I would say overall, this is an excellent bag! The products all seemed relevant and there are quite a few that I’m very excited to try. I’m going to try to get back into filming my Ipsy Glam Bags, but I’m going to be honest and admit that filming for my YouTube channel is likely going to be on hold until the fall. The rest of my weekends this summer are all jam packed and since I use natural light to film, that’s when I have the right lighting. But, stay tuned, my YouTube channel is still very much on my radar! If I can squeeze in some filming, I will!

Robyn
