Celebrating 27: Birthday Haul

Hi guys! If you follow me on instagram you might know that yesterday was my birthday! I turned the big 2-7 which seems crazy to me because the last years feel like they just zoomed by. Anyways, I thought I would share my birthday haul as that will give you a sneak peak into what I’ll be blogging about this month! I’ll have full posts with looks for both these items coming up! I also received some Sephora e-gift cards which I used during the VIB Rouge sale so I’ll have that haul in a separate post when it arrives.

Anastasia Beverly Hills | Modern Renaissance

When this palette first came out, I instantly knew I needed it, however it seemed like such an odd release for summer (it reminds me of fall) that I didn’t jump on it right away. After that, it kept going out of stock so when it came back in stock recently, my lovely sister scooped it up for me! I wore this palette out to dinner for my birthday so I’ll have that look up some time this week. After how much I loved the Anastasia Beverly Hills Self-Made Palette, I knew I’d love this one too.

Morphe | Morphe x Kathleenlights Eye Shadow Palette

My lovely sister grabbed this for me as well before it sold out! I’ve been a long-time supporter of Kathleenlights and I always enjoy her collaborations. What drew me to this palette was how it is so authentic to her. Can’t wait to try it out! I’ll be posting looks using this palette as well!

A bit random but…

I’m usually pretty open about my geekiness on my blog so I had to share these as well. One of my best friends and fellow Funko Pop addict, got me the Harry Potter set so they are now proudly displayed on what I like to call my “geeky shelf”.

So there is a sneak peak of what you can expect to see featured on the blog over the coming weeks! I always like to close with a question so, what was your favourite birthday present you’ve ever received? Let me know in the comments down below!

  1. Happy Birthday again and great haul – can’t wait to see the looks you come up with using those palettes!
Oh those HP figurines are so amazing! 😀
Can you explain to me a bit about the upcoming “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”? Is it a story within the HP universe but there aren’t any books (source material) associated with them? People are asking me like I’d know but I don’t…

    • Thank you!

From what I gather… the upcoming movie is in the same universe but in the United States in an earlier time than the HP series. It’s based off of a text book that Harry Potter and his classmates would have read when they were at Hogwarts. The movie is about the author of those books and his adventures (so I gather anyways). So the storyline isn’t based off of a book, but the character is. I’m excited to see what they do with it, but, I’m not sure how I feel about it taking place in the states. But, I’m optimistic!

      • Interesting! Thanks for explaining it to me. I’ll still go watch it – give it a chance and see if they’re just trying to milk this for all it’s worth! 😛

  2. Happy belated birthday!
Nice beauty goodies – no wonder you didn’t pick up any eye shadow palettes during the VIB sale, because it looks like you’re all set with palettes from your birthday!
Love the HP figurines! I don’t collect any of them, but I always love going into stores to take a look at them. The Voldemort one is actually so cute, LOL.

    • Thank you!! Haha yeah it’s definitely a good thing I didn’t order any palettes. Shockingly I placed my order before receiving those but I had a pretty good feeling my sister got me those lol

I actually remembered that I did order one eye shadow palette the first night of the sale under the influence of wine separate from my main order… haha… No regrets!
