Hi guys! I debated doing a December favourites post since I’ll be doing some best of 2016 posts next week, but I couldn’t pass this up. My best of 2016 posts focus on the whole year but there were some products that I’ve been loving a ton this month that I just had to tell you about as part of a December favourites post. So, this post is a bit early compared to my normal timing of these posts so that you aren’t inundated with favourites next week!
Makeup
Colourpop | Creme Gel Liner in Mr. Bing
I’ve been really loving the formula of Colourpop’s Creme Gel Liners but so far the standout, for me, is Mr. Bing. This warm brown looks very striking with green eyes and I find it works with a lot of my everyday makeup looks. Formula-wise, it is pigmented, smooth to apply (minimal tugging) and long-wearing!
Tarte | Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed
I’ve been wearing Exposed a LOT lately. I find it goes so well with most of my makeup looks. Particularly when I don’t want my blush to stand out much but still want some colour in my cheeks. This shade looks lovely on, blends out well and is long-wearing.
Becca | Mineral Blush in Flowerchild
Another blush I’ve picked up recently and have been wearing a ton! It’s a bit pinker and a touch brighter than Exposed so it adds a bit more to the cheeks in terms of pigment. Becca’s blushes are also SUPER pigmented so that adds to it standing out a bit more. But, again, I find this shade neutral enough that I can wear it with any makeup look. It blends out beautifully and again, is long-wearing. I find the best brush to apply Becca blushes (or any of my blushes, really) is the Morphe E4!
Skincare
Maison Jacynthe | Eau Florale de Rose*
I gave this product a glowing review here so there isn’t much to say in this post. I’ve been using this product daily and it adds such a lovely scent to my skincare routine.
Eden’s Semilla | Vitamin E Oil*
Another product that got a positive review from me (see post here). I’ve been really enjoy using this oil in conjunction with my foundation to add a subtle glow (while keeping my skin’s natural oil at bay) and on my cuticles. We have had a lot of dry and bitterly cold winter weather this month and this product has been essential to my routine.
More!
Scarves
Though I wear them quite a bit all year round (perhaps not so much on a super hot summer day), I feel like scarves have become even more of a staple in my wardrobe this past month. Lately if a scarf can be added to my outfit, you can bet I’ll be adding it. Pictured are a couple of my favourites.
Well, those are my December Favourites! Stay tuned for some of my best of 2016 products which will be coming up later next week! I’d love to hear what products you loved in the month of December so let me know in the comments down below!
xoxo,
Robyn
