Hi guys! It’s time for my last empties post of the year and I feel like it’s a decently sized one. I’m really glad I decided to break these up by quarter as I don’t use up enough stuff do to monthly posts. Quarterly seems a lot more satisfying to post! So, let’s check out the products I managed to finish up over the last quarter!
Skincare
Garnier | SkinActive Micellar Water (waterproof makeup version)
I’ve talked about this product quite a few times over the course of the past year, it even got it’s own review! Therefore, I’m not really going to say too much about it.
Would I repurchase? Yes!
St. Ives | Green Tea Scrub
Another product that has received it’s own review so again I won’t say much more about it. You can find my full post here!
Would I repurchase? Yes!
St. Ives | Revitalizing Pear & Soy Hydrating Body Wash
While this scrub was pleasant to work with, I didn’t really enjoy the scent. I found it a very fake sickly sweet pear scent. I usually love pear everything but this was definitely a pass for me. This bottle lasted me forever which I appreciated, but I think I’ll be going back to my Bath & Body Works Body Wash!
Would I repurchase? No!
Laneige | Water Sleeping Mask
I got this at some point as a 100 point perk from Sephora and I really enjoyed using it. It dried relatively quickly and my face felt amazing in the morning. Definitely a great product to have during the winter months.
Would I repurchase? Yes!
Josie Maran | Argan Cleansing Oil
I really enjoyed the scent of this product, it was almost a bit citrusy and I enjoyed the way this oil foamed, which caught me by surprise. My face always felt very clean after using it, but I’m just not sure if I would pay full price for this.
Would I repurchase? Maybe
Sally’s Box | Secret Garden Camellia Oil Ampoule Mask
I loved the format of this mask, as it came with an ampoule serum to apply first before adding the sheet mask. I received this in an Ipsy bag and my skin definitely felt hydrated and glowed after using it. However, it looks like they cost about $9 USD on Amazon.com and I’m just not sure if it was worth the money. I feel like there are less expensive options that would work just as well.
Would I repurchase? Maybe
Olay | Complete All Day Moisturizer (Oily/Combo Skin)
I’ve emptied quite a few of these so there isn’t much else to say about this one. It’s my go-to for my morning routine!
Would I repurchase? Yes!
Makeup
Too Faced | Hangover RX Replenishing Face Primer
Another sample from an Ipsy bag that I quite enjoyed using. I didn’t think I’d like a hydrating primer considering I have oily skin. But, I really liked how my foundation applied over this primer and it’s been fantastic now that my skin has gotten a touch dryer due to the weather.
Would I repurchase? Yes!
Laura Mercier | Translucent Loose Setting Powder
One of these days I need to purchase the full size, but travel sized ones keep coming my way and I’m more than okay with that. I love using this powder for baking when I really need my makeup to last or if I want to make my contour pop. This product, while it isn’t something I use every day, has become a staple.
Would I repurchase? Yes!
Essence | Get BIG! Lashes Volume Boost Mascara
While I enjoyed this mascara (you can read my full review here), I’m just not sure that compared to others that I’ve tried this year that I love it. I would probably repurchase at some point though because I enjoy changing up my mascaras. Also, I do want to try other Essence mascaras so I think I would do that first before repurchasing this one.
Would I repurchase? Maybe!
Maybelline | Baby Lips Dr. Rescue in Too Cool
Another one bites the dust! I’ve mentioned this time and time again and go through these like crazy.
Would I repurchase? Yes!
Nivea | After Shave Balm (Sensitive Skin)
The first time I used this as a primer, I did not like it. That was because this does nothing for my oily skin. However, once I noticed that despite the oil, my makeup was completely in tact at the end of the day, I was sold. Combined with a matte foundation and a matte powder, my oily skinned problems seem to be under control.
Would I repurchase? Yes!
L’Oreal | Pro-Matte Foundation (Classic Ivory)
Another product that I’ve emptied time and time again as it’s my go-to foundation for every day occasions.
Would I repurchase? Yes!
Hair
Batiste | Dry Shampoo (Original)
Emptied another one of these! This time I tried the original scent as when I purchased this one it was for the road trip I went on at the end of the summer. I didn’t want anything super scented because I was worried about attracting bears (everywhere we camped had major no-scent because of the bears policies). Anyways, the scent is pretty basic and pleasant so I was happy with it.

Batiste | Dry Shampoo (XXL Volume)
This was the first volumnizing dry shampoo that I’ve ever emptied and I quite enjoyed it! I didn’t use it every time I needed dry shampoo, but I did use it when I wanted to add volume. My favourite time to use this is if I was going to pull back a little bit of my hair in the front (see picture below so you know what I mean) and I wanted some volume. I have a pretty stubborn centre part and this helped keep my hair from separating.
Would I repurchase? Yes!
Joico | Smooth Cure Shampoo & Conditioner
These two aren’t pictured as I use the giant bottles and they just won’t fit into a picture. Also, given their size, they just take up too much room sitting around empty. Anyways, I’ve been using this combination on my hair for years and I love them. I find that it helps keep my frizz at bay so whether or not I wear my hair curly (most of the time) or straight, my hair is smooth and manageable. I also notice IF I do straighten my hair, it takes less effort since I switched to these products!
Would I repurchase? Yes!
I think this may be the most empties I’ve ever had in a single post! Whats your favourite/least favourite product that you’ve emptied this past quarter? Let me know in the comments down below!

You used up so much, especially makeup! Great job. One of these days I’ll get around to trying the Nivea balm thing. And the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder is on my wish list.

Thanks! The quarterly post format works pretty well for my use-rate! Haha… I really enjoyed both those products, and have new ones on the go 🙂at least if the Nivea doesn’t work out, the SO might use it!

Nice job with all of the empties!
I got a small packet of the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask with the UD Naked 2 palette you sent me. The name alone sounds amazing, but combined with your quick positive review of it really makes me want to get to using it!
I can’t believe how expensive that Sally’s Box mask is. Is it a one-time use thing, or are there several masks in there? Cause no way we’re paying $10+ Canadian when you can get masks for a fifth of the price. The packaging is super adorable, though.
The LM Translucent Setting Powder is one of my faves, it made it into my 2016 favourites this year!

Yeah I really enjoyed the water sleeping mask! It has a nice consistency and I’ve been trying to add more moisture to my routine this winter.
I’m pretty sure that was the cost for ONE mask. Isn’t that insane?
