Mani Monday: OPI I Love Applause

OPI I Love Applause

Hi guys! Today’s manicure is quite simple and neutral, I’ve got OPI I Love Applause on my nails. When I did this manicure I needed something neutral and professional looking as I had a meeting to attend. So, while I normally do my nails on Sunday for the week, I had to do the switch on Thursday so that I didn’t have my black sparkly nails on Friday. For once, I did not want my nails to be a focal point at all. I chose this polish as I remembered it had good coverage for a soft shade as my nails usually have slight staining from all the polish I wear. Another polish I considered wearing was OPI Coney Island Cotton Candy. I’m happy with what I chose though!

Products Used:

OPI Chip Skip
OPI Nail Envy Maintenance (1 coat)
OPI I Love Applause (3 coats)
Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat

Since OPI I Love Applause is from one of their soft shade collections, it did require 3 coats for full opacity. The formula was easy to work with though and wasn’t too thin or runny. I thought about jazzing this manicure up with a glittery polish after Friday (such as Deborah Lippmann Today Was a Fairytale) but laziness got the better of me. To be honest though, I really do like OPI I Love Applause all on it’s own. Particularly now that my nails are a bit shorter than they have been lately, it looks very polished to me.

What do you have on your nails today? Let me know in the comments down below! Also, what is your go-to nail polish when you need something neutral and professional for a big meeting?

xoxo,

Robyn

  1. I love these soft types of colours! I own so many variations of these kinds of colours! I can’t help myself. This week I’m rocking Butter London Yummy Mummy, which is a taupe.
