Hi guys! Welcome to another Mani Monday (though we are now past Monday, see below for why this post is late)! Today I’ve got Cult Nails Manipulative on my nails. For those of you who may be unfamiliar, Cult Nails was an indie nail polish brand that was around until they closed their doors in spring of 2015. It’s really too bad because they made some incredible polishes and one of my favourite top coats. Even though it’s harder to get a hold of their polishes, I didn’t want to neglect the ones I have in my collection so I thought I would share it with you anyways. Manipulative is a turquoise/blue shade with a hint of shimmer to it, though on the nails looks more like a cream. It was from their Divas & Drama Collection in 2012, a collection which I purchased in it’s entirety.
This post was supposed to be up yesterday (Monday) but due to some issues I was having with my server I wasn’t able to get into my admin panel to post it.
OPI Nail Envy Maintenance
Cult Nails Manipulative (2 coats)
Glisten & Glow Fast Drying Top Coat
Cult Nails Manipulative is nearly opaque in one coat, however I did add a second to even things out. For the most part, it has been fairly resistant to chips so it has been wearing beautifully. I really miss Cult Nails as their polishes apply so beautifully. They are a great consistency and you don’t really need to worry about the polish pooling in the edges. You can still find the beautiful creator of Cult Nails on Instagram.
What do you have on your nails today? Let me know in the comments down below. Also, have you experienced the heart break of your favourite indie brand closing it’s doors?

I’ve heard of Cult Nails but never tried their polishes – too bad they’re gone now. Did they say why they’re closing? Low sales?
I’m wearing OPI My Pointe Exactly which is a sheer grey colour and I am in LOVE with it. I seriously did not expect to love it as much as I do. My nails look so delicate and “polished”.
I’m not sure why they closed. They always seemed to be doing really well. Cult Nails had quite the following and their polishes were amazing. Perhaps life got in the way.
Ooh I think I have My Pointe Exactly… if it’s what I’m thinking about it’s a beautiful polish!
