Mani Monday: OPI Be a Dahlia Won’t You?

OPI Be a Dahlia Won't You

Hi guys! With Valentine’s Day just one day away I felt compelled to wear a festive pink manicure this week. So today, I’ve dug out OPI Be a Dahlia Won’t You? from their 2011 Nice Stems Collection. It is a sparkly fuchsia shade that just can’t help but catch your eye. I had thought about doing nail art for Valentine’s Day like I did with my Christmas manicures but I just didn’t have the energy to think of something. But, a nice classic pink manicure is always festive and Valentine’s Day appropriate in my books!

Products Used:

OPI Nail Envy Maintenance (1 coat)
OPI Be a Dahlia Won’t You? (2 coats)
Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat (1 coat)

OPI Be a Dahlia Won’t You is slightly on the sheer side so even with top coat there is very, vert faint visible smile line. I’m sure a third coat would eliminate this. While it applied a little bit on the thin side, the polish was quite easy to control and didn’t pool at all. Honestly, I think I prefer a slightly thinner formula because I’m not tempted into slapping on thick layers that never dry. I’ve had it on for about 3 days now and so far I am chip-free. Just a bit of minimal tip wear that is barely visible. So far I’m impressed and it’s another polish I will need to try to remember more frequently. Honestly, I don’t think I have worn this since I purchased it when the collection was released in 2011. This is why I barely ever buy nail polish anymore. There are so many that I completely forget that I own.

What do you have on your nails today? Did you have more energy and do something fun for Valentine’s Day? Let me know in the comments down below!

xoxo,

Robyn
