Hi guys! February was a pretty slow month for me makeup-wise. I didn’t wear much on weekends, I only purchased THREE items and I didn’t post much. The month of February I think I just felt pretty burnt out in general so I spent a lot of time relaxing and not doing much in my spare time. I’m trying to get back on track and begin to focus again as we dive into March though! So, although I didn’t purchase much, I still did want to share the three items that I did pick up and some first impressions with you!
Urban Decay | Liquid Lipstick in Backtalk
I don’t feel like I need to say much about this one. A full review was posted right here that you can check out. In short though, I was super disappointed in this product. I was hoping for a waterproof, long-lasting liquid lipstick and it just did not deliver.
Make Up For Ever | Aqua Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Pomegranate Pink
I’m not sure what drew me to this product, as I haven’t really seen anyone post about it as it isn’t anything new. But, I wanted to test it out as well as it claims to be waterproof. I haven’t done a full wear test yet (and I will for Love for Lipstick) but I can tell you, I’m not a huge fan of the gloss. It has worn quite well, but I just don’t like gloss on my lips. As far as liquid lipsticks go, give me something matte! But, gloss aside, my first impressions were leaning on the positive side. You can see me wearing it here!
Becca | Shimmering Skin Perfector in Prismatic Amethyst
Are you surprised I ordered this immediately when the early release hit Sephora.ca? I barely had my wish list posted before this item ended up in my virtual shopping card. First impressions? I’m in LOVE! This is exactly the purple highlight I have been looking for. I’ll post a look using it soon!

Lovely haul! Too bad you didn’t like the liquid lippies much, but at least they are pretty 🙂 The Becca compact is beautiful.

Yeah at least the colours are both really pretty so I’ll still get use out of them! The becca powder is so stunning I want to coat my whole face with it, haha 😂

I freaking LOVE the shade of that MUFE lipstick! Shame about the gloss, but damn that COLOUR!
I was interested in that BECCA highlighter, but I’ve already got a few by ABH and KVD that I think are quite similar so I couldn’t really justify that one as well. 😦 BUT it looks beautiful!

Yeah the MUFE lipstick is beautiful! I think if you like a glossy lip then it would be great but my hair getting stuck to my lips is a pet peeve haha
I was so excited to see the Becca highlighter since the KVD palette is frequently sold out and the ABH palette isn’t at Sephora so I nearly fell off my chair when I saw it announced! So stunning! Actually it was your swatches of the purples in the other palettes that confirmed my need for a purple highlight haha

I’ve never even noticed that MUFE lipstick at Sephora before, weird! Glad you liked the Becca highlighter though. I debated getting that one but decided to go with the new ABH Glow Kit instead, though I haven’t received it yet. I also got a couple ABH glosses in February and the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon palette (finally!).

I haven’t heard anything about that Make Up For Ever Liquid Lipstick – looking forward to hearing more about it.
And haha not surprised about the Becca Prismatic Amethyst – it’s like a work of art! I wonder how it compares to the ColourPop purple highlights.

I have the purple Colourpop highlight as well, I’ll have to do a side-by-side comparison, however just by memory, I think the Becca one is a bit more intense. I’ll post a comparison when I do a more detailed post about the Becca highlight!

I think you’ll really like the AquaRouge! I have it in a neutral peachy shade and it’s an absolute gem for me! It can be a bit more high maintenance to wear but the result is worthwhile!

I’ll have to give it another try! I just really don’t like wearing gloss on my lips but when I did wear it, it at least looked really nice!
