YSL Beauty Box Giveaway Unboxing

YSL Beauty Box

Hi guys! Last week I found out that I won a YSL Beauty Box giveaway over on Dave Lackie’s Instagram page which was really exciting news! For those who may not know, Dave Lackie is the editor of Beauty the Guide and also a beauty expert on CityLine. I was completely blown away when I picked up the package and opened it up. So, a huge thank you to Dave Lackie for putting on this amazing giveaway. Be sure to follow him on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to stay up to date on any other giveaways going on!

So, let’s take a peak at the contests of this beautiful YSL Beauty Box!

YSL Beauty Box

YSL | Instant Moisture Glow

The Instant Moisture Glow is a lightweight moisturizer which is meant to blur imperfections to both prime and refresh makeup. So, not only can you use it as a daily moisturizer, but you can also tap it into your face throughout the day to refresh and set makeup. While I don’t know if I would use it for the latter (but that would be great for those with dry patches!), I can’t wait to try it as a daily moisturizer. My skin has been acting up the past few months so blurring imperfections seems super ideal to me!

YSL | Touche Eclat Blur Primer

The Touche Eclat Blur Primer illuminates the skin while blurring imperfections (I see a trend here and I like it!) and adding radiance to your foundation. I wear a lot of matte foundations so it would be nice to add some radiance to the skin, especially in the summer months. This can be worn both under makeup and on it’s own.

YSL | Eyeliner Effet Faux Cils Shocking

This is a felt tip liquid eyeliner that is water resistant. It has a calligraphy-type tip and a water-based formula that is said to glide on smoothly and last for up to 12 hours. I do like dabbling in liquid eyeliner (despite being mediocre at applying it) so I’m excited to try this out!

YSL | Touche Eclat Blur Perfector

The Touche Eclat Blur Perfector is a compact that can be used in a few different ways. Essentially, it goes from balm to powder to soften imperfections to either replace foundation or retouch it. With that said, you can use it all over to perfect your complexion, you can use it to set your makeup or you can use it to mattify. I’m truly quite intrigued by this product, probably more so than the rest. Just because it has so many different claims. So, we’ll see how it works out and I’ll be sure to report back!

YSL | Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils

The Mascara Volume Effect Faux Cils is said to deliver both high volume and drama for a false lash effect. I’m super excited to try this, but I’m a little afraid I’ll fall in love with it! I’m such a drugstore-priced mascara kind of girl! But, it does sound fantastic. The formula has B5 pro-vitamin which leaves your lashes looking longer by deepening and darkening.

YSL | Touche Eclat

The Touche Eclat is a strobing light highlighter. It is a liquid formula, which I don’t traditionally reach for, but I’m definitely willing to give it a try. It is a buildable formula so you can customize the amount of incandescent glow you wish to add to your face. I do love a good highlighter!

YSL | Couture Palette (#4)

You all know I have a passion for eyeshadow so I think I squealed when I opened up this beauty. The rich shades are said to glide on effortlessly so I’m super excited to try them out. I’ll post a look and a review once I’ve had a chance to test them out!

YSL | Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick (#201 Orange Imagine)

The Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick that I received is a beautiful matte orangey red shade. I absolutely love matte lipsticks so this is definitely a perfect choice for me and an orange red is a great twist on a classic, staple shade. I’ll be featuring this in a Love for Lipstick post once I’ve had a chance to try it out!

YSL | La Laque Courture Nail Lacquer (#14 Violine Serrealiste)

Nail polish is another one of my passions so I was excited to see one thrown in among the makeup products. It’s a very beautiful magenta shade that looks perfect for spring! The polish is enriched with chil rose bush to strengthen and protect the nails.

So, if you didn’t already guess, I am really excited about this YSL Beauty Box! I can’t wait to start testing everything so I can share my thoughts over the next few months!
