MOTD: Spring & Summer Picks

Spring & Summer Picks

Hi guys! It’s been awhile since I’ve done a MOTD post and I thought it would be fun to showcase some of my picks from last week’s Top 5: Spring & Summer Picks post! I had meant to do this look over the weekend, however, I had one of those barely leave the house/minimal makeup weekends. I think we all need a few of those! It was very relaxing! Anyways, I was able to make time for a mini photoshoot before work so here we go!

Products Used:

Primer: Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Skin Primer
Foundation: L’Oreal Pro Matte in Classic Ivory
Concealer: Tarte Shape Tape in Fair
Powder: Becca Blotting Perfector
Blush: Urban Decay Afterglow Blush in Quickie
Contour: Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Kit – Sombre & Lucid (mixed)
Highlight: Laura Gellar Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in Charming Pink
Eyes: Urban Decay Primer Potion (original). Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette – Georgia (transition and blended into under eye), Puree (crease and under eye), Luscious (lid). Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Liner in Demolition (water line). L’Oreal Voluminous Feline Mascara (lashes).
Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow in Taupe
Lips: NARS Audacious Lipstick in Angela

I decided to go with a fairly simple look on the eye because well, as it was a work morning, I’m usually pressed for time. Also, I really wanted the pink blush and lipstick take more of a focal point. Urban Decay’s Quickie is quite pigmented and intimidating looking in the pan, it’s very blendable. Also, I always suggest using a light hand with blush as it is much easier to add more than it is to take it away. However… if over-blushing occurs… this post from Stashy’s Instagram is worth a read!
