Mani Monday: Girly Bits Hocus Pocus

Girly Bits Hocus Pocus

Hi guys! I don’t know about you but when summer starts peaking around the corner all I want to do is throw a holographic top coat on everything. I’ve been meaning to do this manicure for a few weeks now and week after week I’ve ended up sporting bare nails for whatever reason. Anyways, for this manicure I’ve busted out Girly Bits Hocus Pocus. It’s a beautiful holographic layering polish and, bonus, it’s from a Canadian company! Definitely perfect for a Mani Monday! I’ve had this in my collection for a few years now but it is still available currently.

Products Used:

OPI Chip Skip
OPI Nail Envy Original (1 coat)
OPI Live.Love.Carnaval (2 coats)
Girly Bits Hocus Pocus (1 coat)
Cult Nails Wicked Fast Top Coat (1 coat)

For this manicure I’ve layered Girly Bits Hocus Pocus over a beautiful coral shade, OPI Live.Love.Carnaval. I always seem to be drawn to layering holographic top coats over a deep shade so I thought I would mix it up this time and go a bit more summer-y. The formula of Girly Bits Hocus Pocus is just lovely to work with. It spreads evenly over the nails for a beautiful holographic effect. You can use 2 coats if you would prefer a stronger presence of the shade. Since I’m out of my beloved Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat and it’s no longer stocked on Nail Polish Canada, I managed to find a nearly full bottle of my old favourite, Cult Nails Wicked Fast Top Coat. Sadly, this is no longer available at all, but using it definitely reminded me why it is a favourite. I miss Cult Nails so much!

What do you have on your nails today? Let me know in the comments down below!

xoxo,

Robyn

  1. Oh Girly Bits Hocus Pocus is beautiful! I recently picked up Cirque polish in “We Trippy” which is a holo topper too. I can’t wait to play with it.
I was sans polish last week too. I had cut my finger and didn’t want to use acetone or nail polish near my cut! 😛

    • Oooh I looked up that polish and it sounds beautiful! Hope the cut on your finger healed up! Good call on avoiding polish and acetone, there is nothing worse than getting those in an open cut! I feel like I find a small cut I didn’t know was there every time I remove my nail polish, haha

    • Thanks! Yes! I’m loving the holographic polish trend too! It seemed like it went away for a bit but now is back and better than ever!

    • Thanks! Yeah I usually mix holographics with deep shades so I thought I’d take a chance and try something different! I’m quite pleased with how it turned out!
