Urban Decay Naked Heat: First Impressions

Urban Decay Naked Heat

Hi guys! From the moment I laid eyes on this beauty, I knew she had to be mine. If you don’t already know by now, I am obsessed with Urban Decay. Their Naked Palettes are amongst my favourites and when I saw they were releasing a warm toned one, I immediately had to find out the earliest I could get my hands on it. Warm tones are definitely my favourites to wear on my eyes. My eye shadow palette collection probably leans more warm than anything else. So, the night of the pre-sale on the Urban Decay website, I had the website loaded 15 minutes in advance and waited patiently. Aside from some minor issues with the website, my order went through and the waiting continued. Four days later and this beauty was finally in my hands. So, let’s take a closer look at the palette that stopped my heart!

Urban Decay Naked Heat

The Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette contains seven matte shades and five shades with shimmer. Ranging from lighter more neutral shades and some deeper warm shades, this  palette has everything you need to create several complete eye looks. It also contains a double-ended brush to assist you in creating your ideal eye look. I rarely use the brush that comes with palettes but the Urban Decay ones are actually quite great to work with. I just always stick with my go-to eye makeup brushes when I’m creating a look.

The packaging itself, both the box it came in and the actual palette keeps to the traditional Naked Palette format. However, the actual palette definitely carries the ‘heat’ tone. It has almost a gasoline/fire sheen to it which is really quite eye catching.

I’ve been using the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette non-stop since I got it and so far I haven’t had any issues with the eye shadows. Each one I’ve worked with has been pigmented, easy to blend and hasn’t had any serious fall out. I will be doing a second post on this palette featuring a wide variety of looks using it. Stay tuned for that!

Have you checked out the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette yet? I’m seriously losing my mind over how much I love it. The Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette is available June 30th online at Sephora and will be in stores July 13th!

xoxo,

Robyn

  1. Why am I not surprised you got this? 😛 So funny you stalked it on the pre-sale.
The design on the palette is really striking, I’ll give it that.
But this palette isn’t for me… I can’t wear such warm tones or else I look sickly! I’ve watched a bunch of YT reviews and the only shade that jumps out at me is Ember, that very right hand side colour. It’s stunning! UD needs to release a single of that, pronto!

    • Ember would definitely make a great eye shadow single! I just absolutely looove warm shades so this palette is definitely perfect for me. Two of my favourite things combined? Definitely worth stalking the pre-sale, haha!

    • Yeah, they aren’t for everyone. I absolutely love warm eye shadows, I do wear a lot of cool shades as well, but warms are definitely my favourite. I’m so happy to see Urban Decay joining along with the trend!

    • That’s fair! I’ve been waiting for Urban Decay to jump on the warm bandwagon and release an all warm Naked Palette so I definitely had to pick this up. I do own quite a few other warm palettes though.
