Hi guys! I feel like I might as well just stop keeping track of each month this year because they seem to be blowing by faster than I can count. I could have sworn June had just started but here we are ready to welcome July! This summer is going to be a busy one so I feel like it’s going to fly by even faster.
Morphe | 35O Palette
In anticipation of Jaclyn Hill’s collaboration with Morphe, I became inspired to bust out my 35O Palette which I realized failed to make much of an appearance here on the blog! If you love warm eye shadows like I do, this palette is a must. It is so reasonably priced for 35 quality eye shadows! Also, you can find Morphe products in Showcase stores if you have one near you. I picked mine up from my local store. I posted a look using this palette earlier this month!
Urban Decay | Naked Heat Palette
Yes, I just got this palette a couple of weeks ago but, I have been using it every single day since. Similar to the Morphe 35O Palette, the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette is warm toned as the name suggests. I have been absolutely obsessed with it. It doesn’t have as much variety as the Morphe 35O, however, what it lacks in variety, it makes up for in that it has the same quality one expects from a Naked Palette. I would say quality-wise it is a few notches above the Morphe 35O, but either would be great if you are looking for a warm toned palette. I posted my first impressions and swatches last week and stay tuned for a mega-post full of different eye looks using this beauty!
Colourpop | Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Bumble
Since I’ve been wearing a LOT of warm toned makeup looks this month, it only makes sense that one of my favourite lipsticks from the past month has been warm toned. I love the way that Bumble pairs with any warm (or even a more neutral) look and it has an excellent wear time. This is the lipstick that I am wearing in my Morphe 35O post!
Becca | Crystal Glow Gloss in Opal x Jade
A gloss?!?!?! Yes, that’s right. I, Robyn, devoted lover of matte lips found a gloss that I actually like! Woah! This was another recent purchase but I really love the way it looks on the lips and it does not feel sticky at all. I posted a look using it recently which you can find here! This revelation has opened me up to trying some other glosses so… stay tuned! Perhaps there will be a few more in my July favourites… who knows!
My skincare routine hasn’t really varied at all in the past month so I don’t really have anything specific to talk about this month. I do have a few products that I’m going to be testing out soon so perhaps July will introduce some new favourites!
My husband and I got back into a mobile game that we haven’t played in years called Dragon’s World. In this game you create different dragons by breeding various types (fire, water, etc) and you can level them up and use them to battle. There’s usually different daily rewards that keep me into the game and have me checking it regularly. There are a few games that are similar to this one but I find this one has the best graphics.
Well, my favourites this month certainly had a warm theme to them! I wear warm tones all year round but I particularly love them during the fall and summer months. In the fall they remind me of the beautiful colours that the leaves turn but in the summer, it as the new Naked Palette suggests, really reminds me of the heat!
What were some of your favourites this past month? Let me know in the comments down below!
