Hi guys! Between wearing more sunscreen, going on hikes and having minimal skincare at the cottage, my skin has been in definite need for a detoxification. The Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment which we will be taking a look at today is meant to visibly clear the complexion. It can be used for all skin types to address oiliness, acne/blemishes and to clear pores. The activated charcoal with it’s Pore-Matrix technology reveals dots of vacuum extractions lifts away dirt and other debris that may be clogging your pores. The result is said to be a more healthy looking complexion.
The first thing I noticed when applying this mask was the slightly minty scent that it has. Upon application my skin felt a little cold and refreshed. Perfect for a hot summer day! As it dried, while I couldn’t speak without cracking the mask, it also did not feel too tight. As it dried it started to change colour, and the Pore-Matrix technology started to reveal the dots of vacuum extractions. Gross in theory, kind of neat to look at though! There were some larger pieces of charcoal in the mask which is what the large black pieces are in the photos below.
I left the Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment on for about twenty minutes. The packaging said it can be on for anywhere between five and twenty minutes. Since dryness isn’t a concern at all, I left it on for maximum time. The mask was quite easy to rinse off and left my skin feeling very soft. My pores definitely did look a bit smaller and clearer. I had noticed my pores looked horrendous after all the neglect they have experienced lately.
I did only purchase the travel size to try this mask out but I think it will be great for using every once and awhile to give my pores an extra cleaning. I really love being able to see the extractions so I can really see it working. I’m going to give this a few more tries but I could see myself purchasing a full sized one in the future. The great thing about this mask is that it can be used all over the face or it can also be used as a spot treatment.
