Hi guys! July is coming to a close so with that brings my monthly round up of favourites. Though my weekends were quite minimal when it came to makeup, I did play with makeup more on week days. I’d say overall it was a pretty balanced month. Between some new makeup coming into my life and knocking my socks off and focusing on skincare I think I have a pretty well rounded favourites today!
Makeup
Morphe | The Jaclyn Hill Palette
I’ve done two posts on this palette this month, a first impressions and then one with five makeup looks using this palette. With that said, I’m still in love with it and I am still continuing to use it over other palettes in my collection. I feel like between this palette and the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette, I have found the palettes that will dominate my summer. The possibilities with this palette are really quite endless. It is a bit pricy to ship to Canada, but honestly with the size of this palette and the quality of the shadow, it’s quite comparable to an oversized palette that you would spend a similar amount on at Sephora. The Jaclyn Hill Palette is currently sold out but is set to return in August.
Buxom | Full-On Lip Polish in Dolly
Another gloss in my favourites?! Who am I?! I had a gloss in my favourites last month and here we are again. I won this mini gloss in a giveaway that Pretty Ruff Life put on quite a few months ago and I’ve started to use it more now that the Becca gloss opened my mind up. I really love this formula! It isn’t sticky, it has a fun tingle and it is great for keeping in my purse. It’s definitely an every day shade so it goes with whatever makeup (or lack of makeup) I happen to have on.
Makeup Revolution | Oil Control Fixing Spray
I purchased the Makeup Revolution Oil Control Fixing Spray when I went to Ulta earlier in the month. I’ve been using this every day that I’ve worn a full face of makeup and I’ve definitely seen an improvement in my makeup staying matte. I still do get a bit of a shine throughout the day however it is more of a glow than the normal oily situation that I deal with.
Skincare
Farmacy | Sleep Tight Firming Night Balm with Echinacea GreenEnvy
I recently redeemed some points at Sephora for a set of two Farmacy skincare products. This Sleep Tight Firming Night Balm was one of them! I’ve wanted to try Farmacy for some time now so redeeming some points seemed like a good compromise. I typically redeem points on skincare if there is anything that interests me as I’d rather try it before committing to buying something pricy. Anyways, I’ve been using this nightly and it’s wonderful! It’s a gel at first and then melts into an oil in your hands. It absorbs quickly so I haven’t had an issue with getting it all over my pillow. With continued use my skin does feel quite firmer.
Glamglow | Supermud Clearing Treatment
As I’ve been spending more time outside this past month I’ve been really piling on tons of sunscreen. This Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment has definitely helped clear some of the gunk out of my pores. My skin felt so clean and fresh after using it! I also did a review on it this month which you can find here!
More!
Ed Sheeran
I know I had his Divide album as a favourite earlier this year but this month it is just Ed himself. I saw him on July 1st in St. Paul, Minnesota and he blew me away. I had seen him open for Taylor Swift back in 2013 and was impressed but this time, wow. I’ve never seen a crowd that into a show before and it was literally just him and his guitar (and loop pedal). I don’t think I have ever been THAT into a show before, and I have been to a lot of big concerts over the years. If you get the chance to see him live definitely do it!
Well, those are my favourites from the month of July! I’d love to hear what your favourites were so please let me know in the comments below!
xoxo,
Robyn

I also love my Jaclyn Hill palette. It was expensive to ship to Canada but it came very quickly. I was to try Glamglow. http://www.mrsqbeauty.com

Oh yes it’s amazing! I was able to ship it to an address in the states so thankfully I was able to save some money. You can get a lot of the glamglow masks in a travel size which makes it more affordable to try them out!

I’ll have to try that Makeup Revolution spray, especially during the summer months.
And so neat that you saw Ed Sheeran!

I’ve definitely been enjoying the spray! The mist isn’t super fine but for the price I’m okay with that.

The Jaclyn Hill x Morphe palette looks so awesome – it’s perfect for so many scenarios. All the videos I’ve seen on the palette shows that the palette is so pigmented.
The Farmacy Night Balm – a gel that turns into oil in your hands? Fascinating!
I saw Ed Sheeran two years ago and oh gosh, is that guy talented. Would have loved to hear him perform some of his songs from Divide! That album is perfect.
