Fresh Rose Face Mask

Fresh Rose Face Mask

Hi guys! In an effort to continue pampering my skin with weekly(ish) masking sessions, the most recent one that I have tried is the Fresh Rose Face Mask. I believe I got this as part of a Sephora point redemption in a Fresh set. Suitable for all skin types this skin hydrates, tones and soothes the skin. It contains both rosewater and real rose petals.

Unlike a lot of masks that I’ve tried recently, this one does not dry down. It maintains it’s gel-like consistency until it is rinsed off. As you can see in the photo, there is indeed chunks of rose petal in the mask. It is kind of a brownish gel colour which doesn’t make it the prettiest looking mask on the market.

The Fresh Rose Face Mask feels refreshing on the skin and can be put in the refrigerator prior to application to enhance the cooling sensation. I did not put mine in the fridge but it is an intriguing concept. I must say, it’s really hard to remember not to scratch your face with it on. I kept it on for about ten minutes prior to rinsing it off.

Afterwards my skin definitely did feel calm and hydrated. I don’t know if I would use it as part of my regular routine due to it’s cost, but I think it would be nice as a treat for my skin over the dry winter months. The other nice thing about it is that there isn’t much of a scent to it. The other nice thing about it is that even though it is costly, a little bit of the Fresh Rose Mask does go a long way.

Have you tried any face masks lately? Let me know in the comments down below!

xoxo,

Robyn

  1. I got a tiny one of these as part of one of the bday gifts from Sephora last year (I was somehow lucky and was able to score both the makeup & skincare gifts). I’ve used it a couple times. I agree it’s nice but too spendy.

  2. I’ve used this also! I didn’t find it did much for my skin. I feel like it would be great to soothe irritation though. Anyway, it didn’t win me over but I did find it refreshing and relaxing.
