Hi guys! With Q3 complete it’s time to take a look at the empties that I have amassed over the last few months. There’s a few repeats this time around, as well as a whole bunch of mascara. I cleaned/organized my vanity the other day and found a bunch of mascaras that I thought I had already thrown out so I figured I might as well add those in here too! As you may recall, I’ve had my quarters mixed up this year so this post is a bit light as I had a few items in my last post that probably should have been in this one.

Makeup

Rimmel | Shake it Fresh Mascara

I don’t really want to talk too much about this one as I did a full review of it here. I got it as part of an Influenster campaign and I hated it. I have barely used it but, I just can’t. It’s terrible. It didn’t flake or smudge, but the formula gave absolutely no volume to my lashes. They just kind of stuck straight out. Would I repurchase it? No way. With so many mascara choices out there, this is a hard pass.

Revlon | Dramatic Definition Mascara (Waterproof)

I gave the original version of the Revlon Dramatic Definition Mascara a very positive review, however, when I went to repurchase it I accidentally bought the waterproof version. I don’t really wear waterproof mascaras and don’t particularly enjoy removing them so I hardly ever knowingly purchase them. I kind of just forgot I owned it as I didn’t really enjoy using it. Would I repurchase it? No, but I’d go back to the regular version.

L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara

This is another mascara that I reviewed last year and then forgot about. I mentioned in my review that I liked it, but wasn’t sure if I would repurchase it. It was easy enough to apply & remove, and it did last all day. However, I found my lashes clumped together more than usual when I wore it. Would I repurchase it? I made you wait nearly a year for this verdict but… nope. Definitely not. This mascara is just not for me. I do know people who swear by it though so it just goes to show that everyone has very different mascara needs.

L’Oreal Voluminous Feline

Okay, now onto a mascara that I’ve only recently stopped using and I used on a regular basis. I got the L’Oreal Voluminous Feline mascara in a Luxe Box earlier in the year. I really have no complaints about it. I really enjoyed the way it looked on my lashes and I didn’t have any issues with flaking, smudging and so on. Would I repurchase it? Yes, I would consider purchasing it again. But, I’m always buying new mascaras so I always say I’ll repurchase them and then I get distracted by something new and shiny.

Kat Von D | Immortal Lash

Another mascara I completely forgot that I had. I think this has been in my drawer for at least a year… or possibly more. I haven’t used it in eons though. I just don’t really like it, which if I recall, was the general consensus on this one. The brush is just… odd and the formula is nothing special. Would I repurchase it? Nope. It’s currently discounted on the Sephora website so I can’t help but wonder if it has been discontinued.

Benefit | They’re Real Mascara

I’m nearly tired of the word mascara but we are nearly at the end of them! The first time I tried toe Benefit They’re Real Mascara I absolutely hated it… then, I gave it another chance and BAM! I love it now. My lashes look fantastic when I have it on. I have another sample of it so I’ll crack it open soon and do a full review with photos. Would I repurchase it? Yes, however I very seldom buy high-end mascaras as there are so many great ones at the drugstore.

Make Up For Ever | Smoky Extravagant Mascara

Last mascara! This is another one that has been hanging around my drawer for longer than I’ll even admit. I haven’t used this in FOREVER. But I gotta say, I do really enjoy the way it looks on. I wore it a lot before I started beauty blogging so I kind of want to try it again to see how it stacks up now that I’ve tried and reviewed so many others. Would I repurchase it? Yes, however I very seldom buy high-end mascaras as there are so many great ones at the drugstore.

L’Oreal | Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation (Classic Ivory)

I have emptied so many of these I really don’t have anything new to say about this. Would I repurchase it? Yes!

Annabelle | Skinny Brow Liner (Universal Medium)

I’ve emptied a couple of these as well so again, not much to say about it. They are a great drugstore and budget friendly brow pencil! Would I repurchase it? Yes! Though I prefer pomades (such as Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow) I do like to keep a pencil on hand.

Skincare

Farmacy | Sleep Tight Firming Night Balm

I picked up the Farmacy Sleep Tight Firming Night Balm as part of a set which I redeemed Sephora points for. It’s an interesting product as it is a gel in the pot that then melts in your hands. I really enjoyed this product, it has a nice scent to it and it made my skin feel fantastic. Would I repurchase it? Yes, though I’ll likely wait for the fall VIB sale.

Murad | City Skin Overnight Detox Moisturizer

This was a sample that I must have added to a Sephora order at some point. The thing about this little foil packs is you don’t really get an idea (most of the time) if you like the product. I’m kind of indifferent at this point. Would I repurchase it? I’m indifferent at this point.

Fresh | Soy Face Cleanser

Here’s an exception to the statement I had just made about foil packs… I LOVE this Fresh Sou  Face Cleanser. Normally when I remove my makeup and then wash my face, when I apply my toner, there is still makeup residue that comes off my face. Not with this. My face was SO squeaky clean! Would I repurchase it? Definitely! When I’m out of my monster bottle of face wash I have on the go I am going to replace it with this.

Raspberrymint | Sweet Lips (Passionfruit)

I received the Raspberrymint Sweet Lips as part of a PR package for review so I did do a full post on it which you can find here. I’ve quite enjoyed using it as part of my daily routine as I always apply lip balm before lipstick. It also smells fantastic. For only $6 it’s a pretty good deal! Would I repurchase it? Yes!

Garnier | SkinActive Micellar Water (Oily Sensitive Skin)

While I’m no stranger to the Garnier Skin Active Micellar Water I believe this is the first of the oily skin variety that I’ve emptied. This has been a staple in my morning routine and I like to think it helps keep my oil at bay throughout the day. Would I repurchase it? Yes!

Nivea | Purifying Toner (Combination to Oily Skin)

This is a repeat so I won’t say much about it, but I do still enjoy using it! Would I repurchase it?  Yup! I have a brand new one on the go!

Misceallaneous

Ombra | Aromatic Foam Bath (Citrus Sage)

I love bubble baths so I always have a bottle on the go. I picked this one up on sale at the Superstore and I quite enjoy it. There’s a good amount of bubbles and it smells great! Would I repurchase it? Yes! I recently picked another one up though I can’t recall which scent I picked this time…

Batiste | Dry Shampoo (Original)

Another repeat! You all should know by now how much I love this stuff! Would I repurchase it? Always!
