Hi guys! I recently received the Shiseido Tokyo Beauty VoxBox from Influenster complimentary for review. I had never tried Shiseido so I was really excited when I found out I was receiving this box. Shiseido, a Japanese company, is one of the oldest cosmetics companies in the world. It produces skincare, cosmetics, fragrances and hair care. I received a pretty good variety of their products to try so lets dive into what I got!
Shiseido | Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate
This serum is meant to boost your routine by defending your skin against signs of stress, aging and environmental damage. I found it quite nice to use, it absorbs pretty quickly into the skin. I like to test skincare out a bit more before forming an opinion so I’ll have to expand on this one more a bit later. This is a travel sized items so you’ll definitely see this in my next empties most.
Shiseido | Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation
The Synchro Skin was sent in the shade neutral which I think is the lightest shade. It’s kind of hard to tell looking at the photos online. Anyways, unfortunately this is just a touch too dark and orangey for me. In person it doesn’t look too bad but it’s very obvious in photos which is a shame because I really enjoy the formula. It really does feel like an extension of my own skin. My face doesn’t get overly oily throughout the day and it looks pretty natural (aside from the colour variation from the rest of my skin). It definitely is long-lasting as well as I find it is all still there when I take it off at night. Later on in this post you’ll see a photo of me with it on in all my oompa-loompa-y glory!
Shiseido | Rouge Rouge Lipstick in Ruby Copper
I also received a beautiful red lipstick from their Rouge Rouge line. It has a shine to it and keeps the lips feeling hydrated. Not my usual matte lipstick but I have enjoyed wearing it. If I’m careful I find it lasts me half a day before having to touch up the centre after eating a meal. It disappears pretty evenly though. I also really do enjoy the shade they sent me, Ruby Copper is a beautiful classic red lipstick. I have a photo wearing it later on in this post!
Shiseido | Inkstroke Eyeliner in Shikkoku Black
I also received a sample of their Inkstroke Eyeliner which essentially is a gel eyeliner. I don’t often wear gel eyeliners but I really enjoyed how easily this one glided onto the eyelid. It was very pigmented so a little bit went a long way. The eyeliner formula is said to be inspired by the Japanese art of calligraphy and I can definitely see why. As promised, it was long-wearing and looked the same when I took it off at night. I have a photo with it on later coming up next in this post!
The above photos showcase both the Shiseido Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation and the Inkstroke Eyeliner. In case you’re wondering… I also have the Colourpop Hi-Maintenance Palette on my eyes which I am loving!
In the photo above I am wearing the Shiseido Rouge Rouge Lipstick in the shade Ruby Copper. Isn’t it so juicy looking?! It makes me want to go eat some fresh cherries!
So, overall, I definitely enjoyed all of the products that were sent to me. I’d say the standouts were the Inkliner and the Rouge Rouge Lipstick, but only because the foundation wasn’t the right shade for me. I would definitely have made this foundation my go-to if it was the right shade though. I really did enjoy the formula!

These products were all sent to me complimentary for review however all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Great review! I would love to try more Shiseido products! I don’t know why I didn’t realize they make makeup in addition to skincare. It’s too bad the foundation is too dark. I had the same problem with a recent review of a CoverGirl foundation. I couldn’t even give it an all day wear test because I couldn’t leave the house looking like an Oompa Loompa lol. The lip colour is very beautiful too!
Oh and I love the look you created with your ColourPop palette!

Thank you!! xoxo It’s so unfortunate when a foundation wears nicely but is just not a good colour match!

Awesome review! This voxbox looked amazing! And the foundation doesn’t look that bad on you! When you said oompa loompa, I was expecting MUCH worse. 😉
