‘Tis the season for red lips and I have to say, I was pretty excited to try out the Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in the shade Uncensored for the occasion. It is a liquid lipstick that promises weightless longevity that “stays kissably smooth”. It is also said to be a universal red that looks good on everyone. So, in my usual Love for Lipstick style, I’ve not only done a review for you, but I have also done my usual wear test photos so you can see for yourself if it keeps up with it’s claims.
The packaging is very unique for a liquid lipstick and has a definite luxurious quality to it. The applicator has a unique curvature to it and was very easy to use to get a precise application of this highly pigmented formula.
Since the Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint is a pigmented product, a little bit went a long way and I was able to cover my lips in one swipe. It quicky dried down but I have to say, this was not transfer-proof at all. My lips definitely stayed red all day so you would hardly notice I lost so much of it, but every surface my lips touched ended up with red all over it. My coffee cup, my husband’s cheek and even my own chin! Had I been more careful eating, I probably wouldn’t have ended up with it on my chin.
- 8 AM – Freshly applied
- 12 PM – Pre-lunch check-in
- 12:30 PM – Post-lunch check-in (I ate an oily salad for lunch)
- 5 PM – Final check-in
As you can see, my lips looked fairly flawless all day which is pretty incredible. Especially after eating a very oily salad for lunch. Usually oils breakdown even the most long-wearing of liquid lipsticks but not this one! It also didn’t feel drying at all on the lips. Even though it stayed put, I was able to re-distribute it around my lips throughout the day as it almost kept some kind of moisture to it. But, it’s important to note that I hardly ever find liquid lipsticks drying so proceed with caution based on your personal preferences.
Overall, although the Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint was not transfer-proof like it had claimed, the long-wear time and how well it stayed on my lips wins me on this one. I will definitely be wearing this one to events throughout the holidays as I trust it to last.
