With each season the needs of our skin can change depending on the weather. Though I have oily skin all year round, I do find that my face needs a bit more hydration during the winter months. I generally have to find a balance as despite having a few dry patches my skin still looks like an oily mess at the end of the day. Since I do always use mattifying makeup products to combat the excessive oil, I find this allows me to add some moisturizing products to my routine for the winter.

I do still continue to use the Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer for Oily/Combination Skin, but at least a few times a week I use the Garnier Moisture Bomb Antioxidant Moisturizer* (pictured above in the pump-style bottle). If I use it too often I do end up reeeeeeally oily, but I find it helps keep the dry patches away. I tend to use it on days where I’m chilling at home and not really wearing any makeup.
At nighttime I have been enjoying the Garnier Moisture Bomb Dry Skin Gel Cream* (pictured in the jar-style container above). This isn’t technically a night cream but I wouldn’t wear something like this for day time as it would make me super oily really quick. If you have dry skin though this would be a great day cream. A little goes a long way and it absorbs quickly into the skin.

Keeping my lips hydrated is something I’m keen on all year round, but in the winter I am extra cognizant of this. The products I currently have in my rotation can be seen above. I have been using the Naked Kitty Naturals Lip Balm both just throughout the day if my lips feel dry (and don’t already have lipstick on them), as well as before I put a matte lipstick on.
Bite Beauty’s Agave Lip Mask has been essential to my bedtime routine to revitalize my lips over night, as well as any time my lips feel like they need a little extra TLC. There is a reason this product made it onto my 2017 Game Changers List!
Finally, when my lips do get dry and flakey I’ve been reaching for the Naked Kitty Naturals Strawberry Daiquiri Lip Scrub. It works really well and smells/tastes delicious! It is edible so you don’t have to worry about trying to avoid getting it in your mouth. I usually do this about once a week.
