Limited edition… those two words that are meant to feel like you have to have something because someday it won’t be as easy to get your hands on. I have to admit, I’ve been hit by the urge to buy something because of those words. Particularly if it was something I was already interested in, the limited-edition-ness would simply seal the deal. This is because I have been burnt by missing out on a limited edition product that I really wanted because I waited too long. I try not to post about limited edition items when they are no longer available because I prefer that if something sparks interest with a reader, that they would be able to go out and purchase it. However, limited edition items need love too so today’s post is all about four limited edition palettes that I still love and use quite frequently. That’s the thing about limited edition items… sometimes they end up forgotten, no matter how much you felt like you needed to have it.
Anastasia Beverly Hills | Self Made Palette
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Self-Made Palette was the first ABH eyeshadow palette that I ever purchased and it really sparked my love for their eyeshadow. For that reason and just how great this palette is, it has a very special place in my heart. I pull this palette out quite often because it has a great variety. My favourite combination is Sherbert in the crease with Hot & Cold all over the lid and Hot Chocolate in the outer-v and under my eye. However, the shade Isla is also gorgeous and fun to use!
Becca x Jaclyn Hill | Champagne Glow Palette
I’m pretty sure the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Glow Palette was actually part of the same order that the Anastasia Beverly Hills Self-Made Palette was in. This palette was my first venture into Becca’s iconic pressed Shimmering Skin Perfectors and was a great way to dabble in them. Though I don’t really get much use out of the last shade in the palette, I use Champagne Pop and Pearl all the time both individually and mixed!
Kat Von D | MetalMatte Palette
The Kat Von D MetalMatte Palette… It’s just perfection. It’s such a fantastic idea for a palette and the variety included is out of the world. I’ve created so many unique looks with this palette so it is always my go-to when I want to create something special. I’ve previously posted several different looks using the Kat Von D MetalMatte Palette which was a fun post to create!
Morphe | Kathleenlights Palette
I considered doing a better job at cleaning up this palette before photographing it but, I actually love how loved it looks. Does that make any sense? This palette is not only a go-to at home but I love taking it when I travel. The Morphe x Kathleenlights Palette was the main eyeshadow palette that I used when I travelled to Paris last month (when I bothered to wear makeup, that is!). My favourite look that I’ve done with this palette has got to be the Simple Cut Crease that I did with it last year. I still need practice on cut creases, but it was a decent first attempt!
I had fun going through my palettes and deciding which were my most loved limited edition ones. What are your favourite limited edition products that you still love? Let me know in the comments below!
