Colourpop Haul: The First of 2018

Colourpop Haul

When I saw that Colourpop released a new Lux line of lipsticks, I was instantly intrigued. Seemed like a great time to place my first Colourpop order of 2018! Not only did I pick up a couple Lux Lipsticks I picked up a few other goodies that I’ve had my eyes on for awhile. What I love about Colourpop is that it is so budget friendly! I got all of the items pictured for under $50 USD (excluding shipping)! So let’s take a peak at what I picked up, shall we?

Colourpop Haul

Colourpop | Lux Lipstick

Colourpop Lux Lipstick

The Lux Lipsticks have a creamy matte finish that is supposed to glide on like butter without feathering or bleeding. It sounds like they are also supposed to be long-wearing as well which you know I am all about. I chose the shades Pinkies Up (dusty-mid tone mauve) and Humble Pie (hot pink) to try out. I’m really excited to get these onto my lips and start testing them so that I can post a full review for you guys. The rose gold tubes are gorgeous and the stars embellished on the product itself is a nice touch. They really did pull out all the stops to make these look like a luxurious product, all for the low price of $7.00 USD! They are also both vegan and cruelty free!

Colourpop | Brushes

Colourpop Large and Small Shader Brushes

I’ve had my eye on Colourpop’s brushes since they introduced them awhile ago but have yet to order any until now. I chose the Small Shader Brush as it looks great for not only packing on the pigment but also for precision as well. It’s much smaller than my go-to shader brush (MAC 242). I also picked up their Large Shader Brush which is bigger than my go-to shader brush and based on the reviews looks like it works perfect with the Colourpop Supershock Shadows which I typically use my fingers for. The Supershock Shadows are more of a cream/powder hybrid with a unique texture and I find them difficult to apply with my current makeup brushes so I’m curious to see how this one will work out.

Colourpop x Kathleenlights | Dream St Pressed Powder Palette

You guys know I’m all about supporting Kathleenlights and her collaborations since they have all been perfection so I had to pick up her latest palette – Dream St. I love how this palette has a combination of neutrals and pops of colour. It contains a variety of finishes as well – matte, satin and metallic to amp up the versatility. I can’t wait to start playing with this palette, it looks perfect for creating some more colourful spring looks!

Have you hauled anything lately? Let me know in the comments down below!

  1. I’ve been seeing a lot of ColourPop hauls lately…myself included, haha!

The Dream Street palette is so gorgeous – I haven’t tried any of their palettes but I can’t believe how affordable they are. Can’t wait to see the looks you come up with!

I picked up two Lux lipsticks too. Love the shades you chose. The packaging is so adorable!

    • Oooo! Can’t wait to see what you picked up!!

Colourpop always blows me away with how affordable their products are (even when you factor in shipping and exchange) yet they still maintain a level of quality that makes you feel like they could charge more and get away with it. Such an amazing company!

  2. How adorable are those Lux lipsticks?!
Also, I had no idea ColourPop sold brushes. Those look really good.
I hauled ColourPop Semi Precious palette after Christmas – I haven’t shown it on the blog yet… I’m glad that ColourPop is now at Sephora! I hope they start stocking the full assortment.

    • Right?!?!

I noticed on the Sephora website a few weeks ago that there wasn’t much if any Colourpop online, I hope there is more coming! Colourpop does do a lot of flash sales and stuff so I don’t mind buying direct from them. It’s usually still reasonable with shipping and exchange with their pricing/sales.
