Colourpop x Kathleenlights Dream St Palette

Colourpop x Kathleenlights Dream St Palette

This week has inadvertently been dubbed Colourpop week! I hauled some Colourpop products a few weeks ago so I guess it makes sense that they are all up for review right about now… Today I’ve got my review of the Colourpop x Kathleenlights Dream St Palette! I had my eye on this when Kathleenlights first announced it but I waited a bit to purchase it, so I’m really glad it was still available because it is a beauty! I tend to really like Kathleenlights’ collaborations, they always really represent the types of products, colours and finishes that she uses the most on her channel.

The Colourpop x Kathleenlights Dream St Palette is a warm toned palette with pops of colour mixed in for good measure. It also has all of the eye shadow finishes covered – mattes, satins and metallics. I was most drawn to the teal shades in the palette. They really remind me of a mermaid eyeshadow look that Kathleenlights did a few years ago.

I’ve found that the eyeshadows in the palette are all fairly easy to work with. The metallic shades seem to apply best with your finger, but I find that very typical for that type of finish. The mattes, particularly the transition shades, are very pigmented so I would strongly recommend using a light hand with these if you are super fair like me.

The very first look I did using this palette is actually the look I am sharing below. It of course features the trio of shadows that I was originally drawn to – Water Bearer, Mermaid Boy & Kaleidoscope. I’m quite pleased with how it turned out! I wished there was a slightly cooler toned shade for transition but, in the end, I didn’t mind the cool tone/warm tone contrast.

Transition: Shooting Star & Magical
Crease: Water Bearer
Inner Lid: Kaleidoscope
Centre Lid: Mermaid Boy
Outer-V: Water Bearer
Under Eye: Shooting Star & Magical
Eye Liner: YSL Eyeliner Effet Faux Cils Shocking (wing) & L’Oreal Voluminous Smouldering Eye Liner in Black (water line)

    • Thank you! I hear you with the not being sure if you need another palette… My palette collection is getting quite large but, I’m okay with that 😅

  1. Looks and sounds like a pretty palette! I particularly like those pops of blue she added in – I’m always attracted to blue/green shadows but I rarely wear them.

    • I’m the same way! I always fall for blue/green eyeshadows but I very rarely wear them. I’m trying to incorporate more fun colours into my makeup this year though, or colours that I don’t wear that often!
