Top 5: Spring Picks 2018

Spring Picks

Though the calendar says it’s spring, we still have quite a bit of snow in Thunder Bay as well as some chilly mornings. Nonetheless, since it is technically spring, I thought I’d share 5 items that are bring me more into a ‘spring’ state of mind! They are all bright and cheery which is exactly what I reach for to get me out of the darkness that I associate with winter. Don’t get me wrong, I love all of the vampy makeup that I reach for more during the winter, but I am ready for some change!

Spring Picks 2018

Viseart | Petit Pro 2

Viseart Petit Pro 2

I recently purchased this earlier this month and the pink-centric looks I’ve been creating with it have been making me feel like spring weather isn’t so far away. I’ll have a full review and a few eye looks I’ve created using this palette up soon!

Bite Beauty | Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Pickled Ginger

Bite Beauty Pickled Ginger

Bite Beauty’s Pickled Ginger really puts me in a spring mood. It’s described as an electric coral which I think is a great description to this colour. It definitely brings some electricity to my face when I wear it!

Becca | Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush in Snapdragon

Becca Snapdragon

This bright coral blush by Becca adds both pigment and some luminosity to the cheeks. It’s a bit intense so a little tiny bit goes a long way (believe it or not but this is not brand new, though it looks like it is!). A little bit of this on the cheeks looks beautiful and springy!

Urban Decay | 24/7 Eyeliner in Deep End

Urban Decay Deep End

I love adding a pop of turquoise to my eyes when the weather starts getting warmer. This eyeliner looks beautiful in the waterline with either a neutral or pink look on the eyes. I haven’t worn it yet this year but you can bet I’ll be using it soon!

Colourpop | Lux Lipstick in Humble Pie

Colourpop Humble Pie

Humble Pie by Colourpop in their Lux Lipstick range is fairly new to my collection. I have worn it a few times now and it just makes me feel so happy! It pairs beautifully with the Viseart Petit Pro 2 which I mentioned earlier in this post. Talk about two different ends of the price spectrum!

What are some of your picks for spring? Let me know in the comments below! Real spring weather probably won’t hit Thunder Bay until at least May but… it’s fun to pretend! Be sure to check out last year’s Spring/Summer Picks for  more spring makeup inspiration!

xoxo,

Robyn

    • I really love the Becca blushes. I did have one randomly break on me (wasn’t ever dropped) but I managed to smoosh it back in and it still works great!

    • Pink has definitely been on my mind for spring!! I just want all the snow to melt away so that everything can blossom again!

The new Colourpop lippies are so great! I’ve been in love with the two that I purchased. I need more ASAP!
