Favourites: Summer 2018

Favourite Summer 2018 - Morphe, Bite Beauty, BareMinerals, Too Faced, Makeup Revolution

Wow I can’t believe how long it has been since I last wrote a blog post. I’ve missed you guys! How was your summer? I can’t believe how quickly that flew by as well. I had a super, super, super crazy busy summer so that was why I had to be so absent here. But, things are settling down (for now) so I am going to try to get back into the swing of things. With that said, I didn’t post monthly favourites for June, July or August! To be honest… I was living a very minimalistic makeup/haircare/skincare life so I don’t have many products to talk about but I didn’t want to skip this all together so let’s chat about the products that have been constants in my life over the past few months, shall we?

Favourite Summer 2018 - Morphe, Bite Beauty, BareMinerals, Too Faced, Makeup Revolution

Favourites: Summer 2018

Morphe Brunch Babes, Bite Beauty French Press Lip Gloss, BareMinerals Complexion Rescue

Morphe | 15B Brunch Babe

I hauled this lovely Morphe palette early on in July and when I did actually wear eye makeup this summer this was mostly what I was reaching for. It’s pretty simple, it has the staples but it also is quite beautiful on the eyes. I’ve done a variety of looks using it ranging from simple to more smokey & dramatic. I’ll have to do a full post on this one and share some looks soon!

Bite Beauty | French Press Lip Gloss in Dirty Chai

I purchased this beauty early on in August and not only does it smell like a delicious cup of coffee but it also is a flattering colour that looks great with no fuss. I still am not the biggest fan of glosses but they are just so easy and pretty for summer.

BareMinerals | Complexion Rescue in Opal 01

Earlier on in the summer (May/June) I was doing a lot of hiking before life got crazy so I was on the hunt for a more bb cream type of foundation that wouldn’t melt away. I had used the it Cosmetics CC+ Cream in the past and haaaaaated it, so I got a sample of this one and liked it enough to purchase. It does still look super oily mid-day (I have oily skin) but it just needs a quick powder and I’m good as new. The it Cosmetics one on the other hand would literally disappear in patches throughout the day. I pretty much wore the BareMinerals Complexion Rescue alllllllll summer long.

Too Faced Sun Bunny Bronzer, Makeup Revolution Beloved

Too Faced | Sun Bunny Bronzer

I really got into wearing bronzers this year which was something I never really did much of before. I got this little deluxe sample size of the Too Faced Sun Bunny Bronzer at some point and really got into wearing it this summer. I think I’ve had it for awhile and just neglected it. I like the slight shimmer it has, it really makes my skin glow! The shade is great too, it’s fairly neutral so it works with my skin tone.

Makeup Revolution | The Matte Blush in Beloved

I know I’ve talked about my beloved Makeup Revolution the Matte Blush in Beloved (see what I did there?) before in a favourites post. However, I have to mention it again because it is literally the only blush I wore all summer long. Particularly right now as my makeup collection is 95% packed away 😢 It works with pretty much any makeup look I throw at it so it remains a favourite!

So those are the products that I was consistently wearing and loving all summer long. I’d love to hear what some of your favourites lately have been so let me know in the comments down below! My apologies for being so distant this summer (I think I’m even behind on responding to comments) it really was so busy and it stayed busy longer than I expected it to. However, it’s all good, life is good and exciting times are always ahead!

xoxo,

Robyn
