I haven’t done a tag in quite some time so I thought it would be fun to do the 30 Beauty Questions Tag post today. I wasn’t tagged in it per say but I did find it while searching online for a fun one to do. I love reading tag posts to learn more about fellow bloggers and their preferences!

30 Beauty Questions Tag

1 // Do you remember your first makeup item?

It had to be either a black eyeliner (not sure which brand) or a Cover Girl icy blue eye shadow.

2 // Describe your perfect mascara. Have you found one that fits your specifications?

Benefit Roller Lash. Oh my goodness I don’t know what took me so long to get on this band wagon. The perfect mascara for me lasts all day and adds curl to my lashes without needing to use an eyelash curler which this one does.

3 // What kind of coverage do you prefer from foundation?

Usually medium, though I like something low coverage for easy days like a BB cream.

4 // Favourite high end brand?

Hmm this is a tough one… right now I’ve been really into Anastasia Beverly Hills and Bite Beauty.

5 //What cosmetic brands have you always wanted to try but still haven’t?

I’ve been pretty intrigued by Huda Beauty lately. Her palettes look really interesting and I’ve heard good things about them.

6 // Favorite drugstore brand?

Essence for sure! They make fantastic products and they are SO affordable!

7 // Do you wear fake eyelashes?

Not usually but I do like how they look on.

8 // Is there any kind of makeup you can’t leave the house without?

Mascara! I feel naked without it. I also like to at least do my brows as well.

9 // What is your most cherished beauty product?

My Kat Von D Metal Matte Palette… it’s so good and it was limited edition so it’s even more precious to me.

10 // How often do you shop for makeup? Do you like to pick up an item here and there or get lots of goodies at once?

Usually once at month unless I really need something or there is a launch that I was waiting for.

11 // Do you have a “beauty budget” or you spend freely? 

I have a beauty budget, it keeps me in check!

12 // Do you utilize coupons, rewards cards and sales when you shop for cosmetics?

I don’t really use coupons as Sephora seldom has them but I collect their points and use them every now and again for deluxe samples. And of course I’m always all over the Sephora VIB sales!

13 // What type of product do you buy the most of?

It’s probably a toss up between lipstick and eye shadow palettes.

14 // Is there a brand that you absolutely can’t stand?

I don’t think I really have one to be honest. I’m not interested at all in any of the Kardashian makeup lines but I’m not interested in them in general.

15 // Do you avoid certain ingredients in cosmetics like parabens or sulfates?

I don’t really pay attention to labels (aside from shampoos) but I probably should start reading up on that stuff.

16 // Do you have a favourite place to shop for makeup?

Sephora for sure but we don’t really have a lot of options in Canada. I like Shopper’s Drugmart too but I never really think to go there.

17 // Do you like trying new skincare products or do you keep a certain routine?

I like trying new product. My routine itself doesn’t change much but I like throwing in new products every now and again.

18 // Favourite bath and body brand?

Hmm, probably Bath & Body Works, I love their body washes!

19 // If you could only buy from one brand, which brand would you choose?

Anastasia Beverly Hills, they have a pretty versatile line up for the most part! I think most boxes would be checked off.

20 // What brand do you think has the best packaging?

Fenty Beauty, their packaging is just so different for the most part!

21 // Which celebrity always has great makeup?

Gwen Stefani – I love her signature makeup look.

22 // Do you belong to any online makeup communities?

Not really aside from the Canadian Beauty Bloggers.

24 // Do you like multifunctional products like lip and cheek stains?

No, I don’t like cream/liquid products on my cheeks since I have oily skin.

25 // Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?

I don’t think so, I usually try to take my time and do at least a half-decent job.

26 // Do you use makeup base/primer for the eyes?

Always! I always use Urban Decay’s Primer Potion. It is my tried and true go-to.

27 // How many hair products do you use on a typical day?

Usually just 1-2. Usually a curl cream to tame my curls and a serum to tame my frizz.

28 // What do you apply first, concealer or foundation?

Foundation, then concealer – it seems really odd to me to do it the other way around. My makeup was done my a makeup artist recently and she did concealer first and I didn’t like the way my makeup turned out.

29 // Do you ever consider taking makeup classes?

Nope, I learn a lot from YouTube/Instagram though.

30 // What do you love about makeup?

I love that you can be as creative or as minimalistic as you want to be. I truly see the face as a canvas for expressing yourself. I absolutely detest the notion of “too much makeup”. It isn’t hurting anyone so why be judgmental about what someone else has on their face? Makeup is all about having fun!
