I love trying new face masks! This week we will be chatting about the Farmacy Bright-On Massage Activated Vitamin C Mask that I picked up during the Sephora VIB Sale. This mask in particular jumped out at me for a few reasons… one the colour change intrigued me. Secondly, my skin has been so blah lately. The claims that this particular mask seemed perfect for my skin right now. Farmacy Bright-On promises to improve uneven skin-tone, pores and dullness. The texture of my skin and my pores have needed some serious improvement as of late. 

So how does Farmacy Bright-On work? It removes both impurities and build-up which detoxifies and brightens your skin. When freshly squeezed from the tube and when first spread onto the skin the product is a purple colour. When you massage it into the skin the vitamin c capsules burst and thus the mask changes into a green colour.

The packaging says to use a “generous amount” so I used the amount pictured above. It has a light citrusy herb scent to it which is quite nice. The recommended time to wear the mask is 5 to 10 minutes depending on skin sensitivity. My skin is not sensitive at all so I wore it for the full 10 minutes before rinsing it off.

My skin was left feeling fresh and clean after use. It definitely looked brighter and my makeup looked so much better the next morning. I can’t wait to see what it does to my skin’s texture after continued use. I’ve used this twice now and I’ve been happy with the results both times. Just a note, this product does contain alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) so be sure to limit sun exposure and use sun screen after use.

Overall, I love this mask and will definitely continue to use it on a regular basis. I’m thinking of using it at least once a week (it can be used two to three times a week).
