Five Neglected Palettes: Winter Edition

Neglected Palettes Winter

Neglected Palettes Winter

I had a lot of fun posting about my five neglected palettes that I was going to use more during the fall. That post was inspired by Chelle of Makeup Your Mind and her YouTube Video on the subject. I ended up doing a few makeup looks for the blog using my fall selections so I thought I’d pick five new ones to focus on for winter. I by no means exclusively used these palettes during the fall but  I did make a point to reach for them more often. So let’s take a look at what I’m going to make a better effort to use this winter! It’s a perfect time to revisit old favourites that have become neglected as this month’s theme for the Canadian Beauty Bloggers is Shop Your Stash!

Neglected Palettes Winter

Urban Decay | Vice 3 Palette

Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette

The Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette was the first large eyeshadow palette that I purchased so it was a go-to for a long time for me. Back then I wasn’t really sure what to do with colour so I primary used the pink shades. I’m excited to dive back into this palette and see what I can create with it!

Anastasia Beverly Hills | Prism Palette

Anastasia Beverly Hills Prism Palette

I was super excited to add the ABH Prism Palette to my collection when it launched but after the honeymoon phase passed I kind of forgot about it. It’s a beautiful palette and look forward to getting more use out of it!

Violet Voss | Ride or Die Palette

Violet Voss Ride or Die Palette

I feel like with the Violet Voss Ride or Die Palette as long as I keep it on top of my vanity I use it a LOT. There are so many possibilities with this palette which is why I love giant palettes like this one so much. The plan is to keep it on top of my vanity so that if I’m not sure what kind of eye makeup I want to do on a given day this beauty is right there.

Urban Decay | Gwen Stefani Palette

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette

Ahhh the Gwen Stefani Palette from Urban Decay. I was so pumped for this collaboration as I have been a Gwen Stefani fan for as long as I can remember. I used this palette so much when I initially got it but as new palettes came into my life it did start to get neglected. I love that it has pops of colour in it that makes it a bit more than a neutral palette.

Too Faced | Sweet Peach Palette

Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette

I love the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette so I’m surprised this one has become a bit neglected. It’s a great everyday eyeshadow palette that not only contains quality eyeshadows but it also smells delicious. I look forward to taking a trip down memory lane and recreating past looks as well as discovering new ones!

Do you guys have any neglected eyeshadow palettes that you want to use more this winter? Let me know in the comments below!

xoxo,

Robyn

  1. I’m actually going through palettes I’ve neglected to see if I still want them or if it’s time to pass them on. Some candidates are the Lorac MegaPro 3, Morphe 35W, Urban Decay Naked on the Run…

      Great idea!

  2. I love the cooler tones of the Gwen Stefani Palette. Even the warm colours seem to have a cool undertone. Gorgeous for the winter.

It’s definitely a unique palette in that sense!

  3. OMG! This is way too funny… we’re on the same wavelength! I just filmed this video this afternoon and I’m only just reading your post now… AND I picked one of the same palettes as you to work on (Vice 3). What are the chances???
