In the summer I like to spend my free time on the go so I’ve been trying to keep my routine for what I have on my face as minimal as possible while still feeling confident. I mentioned in my previous favourites post that my skincare routine has left me happy with how my skin looks without foundation and concealer so this routine also skips that step! I have left my skincare routine out of this post but if you were curious I use the Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream with the C Firma and B-Hydra Serums mixed in for daytime.
Vichy | Ideal Soleil Dry Touch Lotion SPF 60
The most important step in my routine is sun screen! This isn’t just important for summer but for all year round. I’ve been using the Vichy Ideal Soleil Dry Touch Lotion as my SPF of choice for the last few months and I love it. My skin airs on the oily side but this doesn’t make me feel oily or greasy at all. When I do wear foundation and concealer they wear great over this as well.
Fenty Beauty | Invisimatte Blotting Powder
Due to the aforementioned oiliness, I like giving my face a quick sweep of a mattifying powder to help keep any shine at bay!
Anastasia Beverly Hills | Dip Brow in Ash Brown
Makeup or no makeup, I will usually still have my brows done up. It’s just part of the steps I like to take to feel a bit more put together. It also makes my naturally blonde brows match my not so natural brown hair better.
Mascara
I change up which mascara I’m using pretty frequently so I don’t really think WHICH one is so important here, but mascara is another one of those things that make me feel more put together. Right now I’m using a sample of the Too Faced Damn Girl! mascara which I have been enjoying so far!
Naked Kitty | Raspberry Tint Balm
Lastly, I like to throw on a quick lip balm like this lovely Raspberry Tint Balm from Naked Kitty! I keep this beauty in my purse for a quick dose of hydration and hint of colour on my lips on the go.
