Q2 Empties: April to June 2019

Q2 Empties

While we are into Q3, I thought I’d take a moment to go through the products I emptied during the last quarter! There’s quite a few new faces this time around as I finished up some newer products so let’s dive into what was worth repurchasing and what was not.

Q2 Skincare Empties

Not surprising at all, but the majority of these products are skincare! I probably did finish some mascaras but I must have missed putting them in the pile this time around.

Q2 Empties Drunk Elephant Skincare

Drunk Elephant | TLC Framboos, C-Firma, Virgin Marula Oil & Protini Polypeptide Cream

I’ve overhauled my skincare routine this year and have replaced the majority of my skincare products with Drunk Elephant. I’ve personally seen a huge improvement in the texture of my skin and even a reduction in oiliness. The only product pictured here that I have not repurchased in full-size is the Virgin Marula Oil. I did enjoy using it but was slowly purchasing the items month by month to avoid spending so much money at once. Would I repurchase? Yes! Though, I’ve gone awhile without the Virgin Marula Oil and have not seen any issues. I may wait and add it back to my routine when winter comes back around.

Q2 Emptiess

Vichy | Ideal Soleil Dry Touch Lotion

I was on the hunt for a facial sunscreen that wasn’t oily and that wouldn’t clog my pores so I decided to try this one out as it was less expensive than some of the others that I was researching. I’ve also had positive experiences with Vichy sun care in the past. I was very impressed with this and have made it my daily SPF for my face. It hasn’t negatively impacted the wear time of my makeup nor has it broken me out. Would I repurchase it? Yes!!!!

Origins | Matte Moisurizer

This was a sample I got at some point at Sephora and I’ve been using it periodically when I am in-between moisturizers. It works pretty well and definitely does not make my face any oilier than normal. Would I repurchase it? Probably not, but only because I’m really enjoying my Drunk Elephant routine. If I wasn’t though, I would consider repurchasing as it did work well with my skin.

Fresh | Rose Face Mask

I don’t think this is the first time I’ve emptied a sample of the Rose Face Mask. While it does make my face feel hydrated, I just don’t know that it is worth the cost. Would I repurchase it? No, but if I see it as a deluxe sample at Sephora I’d probably use points for it.

Q2 Empties

Don’t mind the photo quality… The two round products just wanted to roll away!

Lovely Body | Sugar Scrub in Lemon Cake Batter

This has been the year of transitioning my shower routine to all products from the Lovely Body! The Lovely Body is a local shop that specializes in bath products and I’ve fallen head over heels with their line up! I actually have a post coming on that soon, however, let’s chat about the sugar scrub! It has excellent texture and is perfect for exfoliating in the shower. It also smells divine! Would I repurchase it? You bet!!

Naturally Well Co | Bubble Bath

While this was a product that was sent to me complimentary for review (full post here) this is by far the best bubble bath I have ever used. I’ve never seen bubbles last so long! While I haven’t repurchased it yet, I plan on ordering another before winter comes around! Would I repurchase? Yes!

Drunk Elephant | Beste No 9 Jelly Cleanser

This sample was part of the Drunk Elephant Sephora birthday gift this year. I really enjoyed using it, it is great for a one step face cleaning. It took off all of my makeup as well as cleaned my face. I haven’t repurchased it yet, but would consider it during a Sephora sale. Would I repurchase it? Yes! But on sale.

Q2 Empties

Spectro | Cleanser (Blemish Prone Skin)

This has been my go-to nighttime cleanser for years. I love how long one container lasts as well as how gentle it is on the skin. Would I repurchase it? Yes!

Garnier | Micellar Water with Argan Oil

You guys know I’ve loved the Garnier Micellar Waters for awhile now so I decided to try their newest one that has Argan Oil in it. I have to say it is not my favourite of their line up. The Argan Oil is great for additional oompf for removing makeup but I really don’t think it is necessary the majority of the time. The oil leaves an oily film on the skin as well. Would I repurchase it? No, I like their other Micellar Waters better.

What have you emptied recently? Let me know in the comments below!

xoxo,

Robyn
