It’s safe to say that this has been the spring and summer of Makeup Revolution for me. I’ve become hooked on their inexpensive, yet quality eye shadow palettes. Their thing is definitely duping other high end palettes but they do such a great job that I ain’t mad about it. I believe the Makeup Revolution Constellation Palette, which I’ll be reviewing for you today, is supposed to be a dupe of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Riviera Palette. However, I do not own that palette so I can’t really speak to their comparability at this time. Continue reading

Makeup Revolution Constellation Palette | Purple Monochromatic Look
During the summer months I struggle to find the will to wear a lot of makeup because it’s usually super hot out. However, it was a bit cooler on Monday so I thought I’d finally play with the Makeup Revolution Forever Flawless Constellation Palette that I picked up last month at Ulta! In typical me fashion I was drawn to the purple shades. I did want to do something a bit brighter but I thought cool tones would suit my outfit better. Continue reading
L’Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara
Hi guys! I really wanted to have another video up for you today but it seems that the universe just doesn’t want that to happen. I usually film the weekend before I post but I was so sick and so busy last weekend that I just didn’t have the time. I tried to film a nail tutorial today to post but my technique was off and I ended up blocking half the footage with my other hand while painting the nails. Frustrating, but at least I can use this manicure for Mani Monday right? I’m going to attempt to film tomorrow for next week’s video. Today had other frustrations so I think starting fresh tomorrow is a must!
Anyways, this week I picked up the L’Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara. I had seen it mentioned so many times on YouTube, and I’m currently out of my holy grail Too Faced Better than Sex mascara so I thought I would give it a try. I usually like L’Oreal makeup so I went into this venture with optimism!
My Skincare Routine
Hi guys! I am by no means a skincare expert, but today I thought I would share with you the routine that seems to work for my face. I have fairly oily skin so I tend to go for daytime products that are made for my skin type. Since I’m oily, I don’t want to use products that may contribute to my oiliness under my makeup. I’m less fussy at night since I know I’m going to just sleep and then wash off the products in the morning. I’m going to break down my skincare products into three categories, face washes, makeup removers and moisturizers.
Easy All Drugstore Makeup Look!
Hi guys! Today I have for you an all drugstore, budget friendly, easy and quick makeup look! This was a request that I had from a friend which I was excited to work on. This was fun to do and everything was purchased in town! This is a look that could be worn every day as it is very neutral. You could switch it up by adding some eyeliner and changing out the lip colour for something more dramatic.
Products Used:
Foundation: L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation in Classic Ivory
Concealer: Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Concealer in Ivory
Powder: Maybelline Fit Me! Matte and Poreless Mattifying Face Powder in Translucent
Blush: e.l.f. Studio Blush Palette in Light (I used the top right shade)
Highlight: Wet n Wild Walking on Eggshells Trio – Browbone shade (very lightly on my cheekbones)
Eyes: Wet n Wild Walking on Eggshells Trio – Crease shade (in the crease, outer edge of eye lid and under eye), Eyelid shade (all over lid and inner part of under eye) and Brow Bone shade (on brow bone and blended down). L’Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara in Black Brown (2 coats).
Brows: L’Oreal Brow Stylist Plumper in Light to Medium
Lips: Milani Moisture Matte Lipstick in Blissful (it looks shiny in the picture because it hasn’t dried down, it dries very matte. This formula is a bit drying so you may want to use lip balm first)
This look only took about 10 minutes to do and it is definitely every day appropriate. I was very impressed by the e.l.f. Studio Blush Palette! The shades were very pigmented and blendable. I would suggest using a very light hand to avoid over-doing it. The Wet n Wild was another stand-out item as it was so pigmented for being so inexpensive. I’m definitely going to try more of their eye sets.
What are your favourite drugstore makeup items to use? Give me your suggestions below in the comments!

Robyn
