June & July Favourites | Makeup & More!

June July Favourites

Is it just me or is this summer going far too fast? I don’t mind fall, but I am absolutely dreading another snowy mess of a winter so I feel like I’m begging time to slow down! But with that said, I didn’t post June favourites so I thought I’d do a combination for June and July! I have some fantastic products to chat about that I’ve been using a lot the past two months so let’s dive in! Continue reading

Makeup Revolution Constellation Palette | Purple Monochromatic Look

Makeup Revolution Constellation Palette | Purple Monochromatic Look

During the summer months I struggle to find the will to wear a lot of makeup because it’s usually super hot out. However, it was a bit cooler on Monday so I thought I’d finally play with the Makeup Revolution Forever Flawless Constellation Palette that I picked up last month at Ulta! In typical me fashion I was drawn to the purple shades. I did want to do something a bit brighter but I thought cool tones would suit my outfit better. Continue reading

Summer Pedicure Picks

Summer Pedicure Picks

While July may be over there is still lots of flip flop weather ahead of us. With that in mind I thought I’d share a few of my favourite nail polishes to use for a summer pedicure! I like choosing colours that are fun but will go with as many of my outfits as possible. My picks are all quite different from each other but they are the ones I go back to frequently! Travel Recap: Kenora

Travel Recap Kenora

Earlier this month my husband and I took a road trip to Kenora, ON which is around 5 hours from Thunder Bay. It’s a beautiful area that I had only ever driven through but never really stopped to enjoy. We had been meaning to do a camping trip there for awhile so it was nice to finally do it. I really enjoy doing these travel recaps so I thought I’d share one in case you are curious about what the lovely town of Kenora, Ontario has to offer! Continue reading

Minneapolis Beauty Haul

Minneapolis Beauty Haul

Hello beauties! I’ve missed you! Between spending time at the lake, on my patio, or travelling, this summer has been a whirlwind so far! I have been absolutely loving it though. We have such long winters that I really do try to soak up every minute of summer that I possibly can. Anyways, with that said, I am back from another adventure so I thought I’d share my Minneapolis Beauty Haul with you! I mostly bought clothes so I managed to restrain myself by the time I got to the Mall of America (which has Ulta and Morphe stores in it), however I did pick up a few things!

Morphe | RC2 Brush Tubby Case

I’ve been wanting something to use when travelling with my brushes but wanted to see the various options that Morphe carries in person before buying. This cylindrical case can both be used on your vanity (with the lid snapped off) and on-the-go. I usually end up travelling with quite a few brushes so I think this will be perfect! I will likely be travelling again later on this summer (and for sure a few times this fall) so I’ll keep you guys posted! It was $15USD, less the 10% discount code you can get from various YouTubers.

Morphe | Continous Setting Mist

I have wanted this setting mist for SO LONG but the last time I was in Minneapolis Ulta was sold out and the Morphe store wasn’t open yet. I’ve just seen lots of positive reviews and the continous mist sounds so much better than a traditional setting spray. Also bonus… while I was walking around the store with this, a very helpful Morphe employee pointed out that they had a deal going on where you could get the spray, the eyeshadow primer and a makeup sponge for $20 USD, and the spray by itself was $16USD. So… I also purchased the Morphe Eyelid Primer (review and comparison to my beloved Urban Decay Eyeshadow primer potion will be posted after testing!) & the Morphe Highlight & Contour Beauty Sponge (have previously purchased and have enjoyed using this one!).

 Ulta Haul

Ulta Haul - Colourpop Concealer & Makeup Revolution Palette

Colourpop | No Filter Concealer in Fair 02

I was actually going to leave Ulta empty-handed (I bought a LOT of clothes at the Outlet Mall earlier that day) but then I saw the Colourpop stand and had to pick this up! I’ve wanted to try out their concealers for so long but was nervous finding my shade online. I can’t wait to try this out and compare to Tarte’s Shape Tape which has been my go-to for years.

Makeup Revolution | Forever Flawless Constellation Palette

Makeup Revolution Forever Flawless Constellation Palette

Since I already had the concealer in my hands, I decided on a whim to grab this palette since I was already committing to standing in the fairly long check-out line. I’ve been REALLY enjoying Makeup Revolution Palettes this year (Makeup Revolution Iconic Division Palette vs. Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture PaletteMakeup Revolution Reloaded Neutrals 2 PaletteMakeup Revolution Warm Makeup Look) so I couldn’t resist picking up another! I love colourful palettes so I can’t wait to play with this! I’ve been wearing next-to-no-makeup all summer but this may make me start wearing more again just so I can play with it!

Have you purchased any any makeup lately? Let me know in the comments below!

xoxo,

Robyn

Weekend Getaway Makeup Bag

weekend get away makeup bag contents

It has been a hot minute since my last blog post. When the warmer weather starts to come around I wear makeup less and less, and spend a great deal of time outside. However as I was packing for my next adventure I thought I’d share with you the contents of my weekend getaway makeup bag! The trip I’m about to embark on is a short one. I will be staying in a tent, however, I’m close to a town and wanted to pack some makeup for evenings out. So let’s take a look at what made the cut! Continue reading

4 Products I’ve Hit Pan On

Products I've Hit Pan On

While panning products isn’t something that gets me particularly excited, since Project Pan is the theme of the month for the Canadian Beauty Bloggers, I thought I’d share 4 products that I’ve hit pan on! I don’t think I’d ever do a full on project pan… but it is interesting to see the few products that I have hit pan on. I’d panned quite a few setting powders and I haven’t included those in this post because they aren’t nearly as exciting to talk about. Continue reading
