The air has gotten noticeably chillier so it must be time to share my favourites from the month of August! Normally if I know I have to be out somewhere in the evening on a weekend I refrain from wearing makeup during the day out of sheer laziness to avoid doing my makeup twice. However, I went out this morning so I wanted to wear a little something-something on my face. In keeping with my not wanting to do my makeup twice motive I decided it would be a great opportunity to take a daytime look and transition it into an evening look! Nearly a week into 2019 and I’m still in a bit of disbelief that 2018 is over. I don’t know if the year flew by or if it seemed like a long year. I just can’t tell! While the summer flew by because my life revolved around fixing up my old house to get it ready to sell, it also feels like Paris (where I started the year) seems like an eternity ago. Anyways, regardless, I’m excited to share with you my best of 2018! I decided to categorize it this year to make it easier to round up my favourites to make sure nothing was missed. November… what a busy month it was! For my family it is the month of birthdays (including my own) and it was also NaBloPoMo so I’ve been doing my best to post every day this month! Wow I can’t believe how long it has been since I last wrote a blog post. I’ve missed you guys! How was your summer? I can’t believe how quickly that flew by as well. I had a super, super, super crazy busy summer so that was why I had to be so absent here. But, things are settling down (for now) so I am going to try to get back into the swing of things. For the first time ever I don’t feel like a month just flew by. I actually felt like May took a reasonable amount of time. The kitchen reno mayhem at the beginning of the month feels like it was already so long ago. May was a fantastic month… we finished painting the kitchen (flooring still to be put down), we had a lovely Cinqo de Mayo party with our friends, the beautiful warm weather arrived and I went on many hikes with my husband. It’s amazing what the warm weather and nature will do to the soul. Being outside hiking and seeing the beautiful scenery is so inspiring and really makes me appreciate living in North Western Ontario. All of these beautiful sights are right here ready to be taken in. No long commutes required! But I digress.. let’s chat about my favourites from the month of May because that is why we are all here!
