Holiday Makeup: Simple Yet Festive

I feel like I’m way behind on my usual holiday makeup looks for the Christmas season but the time has just been flying by. With how accelerated time feels this may end up being my only holiday look for this season, but we’ll see! I’m trying to cram in as much as I can before going out of town this weekend between trying to see all my loved ones and getting ready to go. This holiday look isn’t anything dramatic or bold, but is a look that is easy to pull together. I’ve done a gold/neutral eye paired with a merlot red lipstick. I think this is a stunning combination! For my eye makeup I’ve busted out my tried and true Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette.

Mani Monday: Simple Halloween Manicure

Simple Halloween Manicure

Hi guys! Given that Halloween is ONE week away, I thought it would be fun to get into the spirit and share a simple Halloween manicure! I love split manicures like this because they look great but are so quick and easy to achieve. So, to achieve this simple Halloween manicure, I did a split manicure with the classic festive combination of orange and black.

Products Used:

OPI Chip Skip
OPI Nail Envy Maintenance
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Orange Zest (1 coat)
OPI Metallic 4 Life (1 coat)

My inspiration was to do something that had gold and sparkle in it. Of course, given the nature of this event I wanted to add a red lip as well. Since I did a matte true-red lip in my last holiday post, I wanted to do something a bit different this time. I chose Urban Decay’s Catfight since it leans more on the pink side, but still has some red to it. I also thought the a bold red lip might have been a bit too much with my red dress. All in all, I’m very happy with how this look turned out! Continue reading

Holiday Look #2

Hi guys! I have another holiday inspired look to share with you today. Since green is a fairly prominent colour during the holiday season I wanted to do a look where the main focus is green eye shadow. It definitely has colour to it so it is not a neutral look, but I don’t think it is over-the-top or dramatic either. I feel like it could be worn to both formal or casual holiday parties. I wore this look to a Christmas dinner at a friends house which was also an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party. Continue reading
