Last year I posted about my Top 5 Holiday Lipsticks so I thought this year I would continue that and add a few more festive lipsticks to the list. These are three lipsticks that I think are perfect for the holiday season and you can bet I will be wearing them a lot over the next month.
Aren’t they beautiful?! Swatches to follow at the end of this post!
Hail Cosmetics | Eternal Matte Lipstick in Wined
Starting off my list is Hail Cosmetics Wined which is in their Eternal Matte Lipstick formula. It isn’t your traditional holiday season red but I think that’s why I love it so much. It is more of a merlot red and pairs well with any holiday inspired look. Not to mention, Hail Cosmetics is hand-crafted right here in Thunder Bay! The formula is great, it reminds me a lot of the NARS Audacious Lipsticks, except for these are cruelty-free, so if that is something you look for, then be sure check out this line of lipsticks! Hi guys! With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I thought it was appropriate to bust out my holiday looks series again. For today’s look I decided to create a look using my Valentine’s Day present from my husband last year (Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette) and put together a festive pink look! When I think of Valentine’s Day I just want to slather myself in pink! My apologies in advance for the photos being a bit out of focus, this is apparently what happens when I try to squeeze in a photoshoot before work… But, I think you can at least see the basics of the look!
Hi guys! I was taking the ‘rest of the year’ off from writing blog posts, but I just couldn’t resist sharing my New Year’s Eve makeup look. I’m not going out tonight, but am having a relaxing night at home with my husband and bestie. But, that didn’t stop me from going full glam.
Hi guys! For today’s holiday look, it’s also a makeup of the day post as I’m sharing what I am wearing for Christmas Eve. I have a family dinner tonight so I decided to do another festive look for the occasion. I say festive or holiday look loosely, as I’d wear most of these looks any time, but I find they all work well for the holiday season. I’ve been dying to use the shade Smashlee in the Violet Voss x Laura Lee Palette and just haven’t gotten around to it, so today seemed like the perfect time.
Hi guys! Today’s holiday look encompasses one of my favourite parts of this time of year, a classic red lip. And of course, for this I had to use one of my favourite reds, Too Faced Melted Matte in Lady Balls. I get so many compliments when I wear this colour and I definitely wear it more than ever during the holidays. Each time I wear it, I secretly hope that someone asks me what colour I’m wearing because this shade has such a great name. The looks I get when I say I’m wearing “Lady Balls” makes it so worth it.
Hi guys! My last holiday look was warm & cozy, so this time I thought I would go cool & metallic to change things up! I love wearing purple so I’d wear this every day, to a holiday party or wherever, but I thought it would fit nicely with the season. I love how different it is from any other holiday look that I’ve pulled together. If this isn’t your cup of tea for a Christmas party, I think it would be perfect for New Year’s Eve as well! Okay, let’s dive deeper into this cool & metallic holiday look!
Hi guys! As I mentioned earlier this week, I’m trying really hard to get into the holiday spirit since Christmas is face approaching! With that being said, I’m excited to share more holiday looks with you! I did a whole bunch last year and I’m ready to share more. Today I was inspired by the Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in Fast Lane that I recently hauled. I also was eager to bust out my Morphe x Kathleenlights Eye Shadow palette again for you guys because I’ve been wearing it a ton lately and I’m in LOVE. Today I stuck to gold as I feel like that’s a wonderful shade for holiday looks.
Hi guys! I can’t believe it’s this time of year already. As I write this, I can see the snow banks outside my house. So, in an attempt to try to be festive, I thought I’d share some of my favourite go-to holiday lipsticks. When those inevitable holiday parties and dinners come around, you can bet I’ll be wearing one of these!
NYX | Butter Gloss in Red Velvet
I am not a gloss person, but the holiday season tends to be a glossy, glittery and shiny time of the year. As far as glosses go, the NYX Butter Glosses are great because they pack on sheer to medium coverage and they don’t feel sticky. The shade Red Velvet is a beautiful cherry red and thus earns it’s spot in my go-to holiday lipsticks.
Too Faced | Melted Matte Lipstick in Lady Balls
Liquid lipsticks are everything to me so, it should be no surprise that I’ve got Too Faced Lady Balls on my list of top holiday lipsticks. I gave this lipstick a pretty rave review so it’s also just a favourite in general. Continue reading
Hi guys! In the spirit of it being Easter weekend I thought it would be fun to do a bright Spring look and add a video! I’ve been seeing so much turquoise lately so the main goal was to incorporate a little bit into a look. Continue reading
Hi guys! Since St. Patrick’s Day is a workday if you work a 9-5 Monday to Friday job and you’re not on March Break I thought I would do a look that allows you to incorporate some green into your look without going over-the-top. All I did was one of my typical matte natural eye looks but added a pop of green under the eye. I’m really happy with how it turned out! If you’re looking for something a little more green, I did post a more green eye look a few months ago here!

I think this is a very work appropriate, yet fun look to do if you are stuck at work for St. Patrick’s Day! You could really add a pop of any colour to this look for any occasion. I personally love using purple under the eye with a neutral look like this (huge surprise, I know!).
